?Chapter 1316:
Before Eileen could answer, Gabri, still nestled in Aaron’s arms, suddenly shouted, “Uncle!”
Aaron didn’t understand why Gabri was suddenly saying this, but he brushed it off because he was focused on talking to Eileen.
“Why are you asking about Milford?” Eileen’s eyes sharpened slightly. “Don’t tell me you know him.”
“I don’t, but I’ve heard he’s someone impressive. Adalina knows him, doesn’t she? He’s from Wist Land, but something must’ve happened since Adalina never talks about it.” Aaron shot a brief nce at Adalina. “I’ve always sensed she has a particr attitude towards Milford. What do you think?”
Eileen paused for a brief moment before shaking her head. “I am not sure. If you’re curious, you should ask her directly. I’ll go and introduce Gabri to some friends now. Thanks for watching her for me.”
Eileen gently took Gabri from Aaron, her mind clouded with unease. She was growing more convinced that Milford was in Onnd. The constant mention of his name throughout the evening had unnerved her.
She nearly stumbled with Gabri in her arms, prompting Phoebe to rush over and help with the child. “What’s going on with you?” Phoebe asked, quickly taking Gabri from Eileen.
Eileen sank into a nearby chair, exhaling deeply before saying, “Milford’s in Onnd.”
Phoebe was momentarily stunned, her expression hardening. “How do you know that?”
“Don’t worry about that. Just have Jacob look into it for me. Bryan’s caught up with work, and I don’t want to bother him with something like this.” After a pause, Eileen added, “Begin with Presley. She definitely knows where Milford is.”

“You’re leaving me in suspense here. Can you tell me what’s happening?” Phoebe passed Gabri over to a waiter, who took Gabri to a small y area set up in the corner of the room. The hotel staff had arranged the area at Eileen’s request, making things easier for employees who were also mothers.
Eileen exined how she had received photos of Milford being assaulted before and mentioned Presley’s threats today.
Phoebe questioned, “Why not just cooperate with Presley and divorce Bryan to find Milford? Why take on the investigation yourself?”
“It’s not that simple. Presley’s trying to bait me into chasing after Milford, and something feels wrong about it.” Eileen knew she had to tread carefully. With her pregnancy, she couldn’t afford to be reckless. Falling into Presley’s obvious trap would be a grave mistake.
“You’re right. Leave the investigation to me,” Phoebe reassured Eileen. Then, with a curious look, she added, “By the way, what’s the story with the old Deleondy? I heard she visited the Meyer family’s residence the other day.”
“Why did Amoura visit the Meyer family?” Eileen frowned. “She can’t seriously be thinking of getting the Meyer family to be her allies.”
Phoebe’s lips pursed in thought. “She knows we’re close to you. It seems she’s testing the waters, but her tactics are divisive. She told them I was brainwashed when I followed you to Wist Land for that year before my marriage. She even warned the Meyers to keep me away from you.”
Of course, this information came secondhand through Jacob’s mother. Amoura wasn’t foolish enough to say such things directly to Phoebe’s face.
