Chapter 1262

    ?Chapter 1262:

Eileen paused for a moment. “What exactly are you saying?”

Bryan set his pen aside and said, “The Deleon Group is well-supported overseas, and they’re making bold moves against us. If we let this drag on, it won’t do us any good. We need toe up with some alternative approaches.” Even if Eileen sessfully brought the Deleon Group down, their hefty foreign investments would keep them afloat.

“Wait, are you saying…” Eileen leaned forward, locking eyes with Bryan. “You’re thinking about going after their assets abroad?”

“I’m not holding a personal grudge against them, so why waste time on that?” Bryan lightly tapped Eileen’s forehead. “I’ve already reached out to Javier Deleon, who heads the Deleon Group and is Colby’s father.” He was the one who had recently be enamored with Amoura and married her.

Eileen hesitated briefly before asking, “How did you get in touch with him?”

“There’s always a way.” Bryan slid two contracts over to her. “I’ve reviewed them. Just sign, and then get some sleep.”

Lately, Bryan had been a lot busier than Eileen, yet she had been by his side most of the time and had never seen him make contact with Javier.

Eileen didn’t dwell on the matter, quickly signing the contracts before going to get some rest.

Being pregnant left her tired and constantly hungry, and she felt quitezy. Fortunately, she had been working with Bryan in thepany every day. If she had stayed home, Ruby and Le would have definitely sensed something amiss about her.

Walking through the alley, Milford moved at a leisurely pace, casting asional nces at the group of people trailing behind him.

They had been on his tail for quite a while ever since Presley’s visit. It was obvious they were working for Presley.

Milford had been keeping his guard up for some time, but since they hadn’t made any moves, he chose to disregard them now.

Reaching the door at the end of the alley, he stepped into the courtyard and locked the door. He then ced some snacks on the stone table.

“Lisa, here are the snacks you asked for,” he said.

A girl with her hair tied back in a ponytail rushed out, grabbed the bag from the table, and grinned. “Thanks, Milford. Just don’t let my brother find out about this, or he’ll scold me.”

“I won’t,” Milford replied, his expression unchanged. “I’ve got another debt to collect in a bit. Make sure you lock up while you do your homework.”

Lisa Navarro nodded, waving him off as he left. “Milford, you’re awesome! My brother told me you’ve nearly collected all the debts that were left unpaid from thest few years.”

“I’m not as awesome as you think.” Milford walked toward the door without a second nce. “The earlier ones were easy to deal with, but the next two… they’re real headaches.”

These two had racked up the biggest debt to Barry, totaling eight hundred thousand. They were also the toughest to handle—one ran a pool hall, and the other owned a nightclub. Barry had visited them more than once, but they always gave him a hard time.

Milford had checked out both ces the day before, and even the staff there had been dismissive.
