Chapter 1256

    ?Chapter 1256:

“Thest bowl of the soup you want has just been sold to someone who ced the order by phone,” the owner said apologetically. “But we have other types of soup avable…”

Bryan had apanied Eileen to this restaurant many times, and she always ordered the same soup, clearly showing her preference for it.

“Could you please call the customer who ordered that soup and ask if they would mind letting us have it? I’ll cover all their costs for tonight,” Bryan said.

The owner recognized Bryan and Eileen well since they frequented this ce. He made a call to the customer who had ordered the soup, and the customer agreed almost immediately.

After cing the order, Bryan turned to see Eileen sitting by the window, giving him a warm smile. The neon lights outside cast a soft glow on her.

“Why didn’t you ask me if I wanted to switch to a different type of soup?” Eileen asked Bryan as soon as he sat down.

Without looking up, Bryan responded, “Didn’t youe here specifically for that kind of soup?”

Eileen hadn’t tried any other soups here before. Bryan knew she only liked that kind of soup.

Hearing this, Eileen couldn’t help but smile. “I’m so fortunate. Thanks to you, I’m able to enjoy the soup I like tonight.”

Just then, the owner delivered the soup to their table, saying, “Indeed, it’s all thanks to him. Otherwise, the soup would have been sold out. But he did end up spending a bit more money.”

“Some money to make her happy is well worth it,” Bryan said as he ced the spoon and bowl in front of Eileen and carefully blew on the soup to cool it.

It was half an hourter when Eileen had finished eating. Since their home wasn’t far, Eileen and Bryan decided to walk back despite the chilly weather.

Eileen felt warm in her stomach after eating, so the cold didn’t bother her at all. In fact, she even began to sweat a bit as they walked.

Upon reaching the gate of their residential area, Bryan insisted Eileen walk no further. He lifted her up and said, “That’s enough exercise for today. Don’t overdo it…”

After working several days with Bryan, Eileen started to sense that something was amiss.

“Isn’t Jovanni supposed to be partnering with the Deleon Group? Why did he still want to sign a contract with us?” Eileen asked Bryan as she looked at a stack of documents.

Bryan paused for a moment to think, then exined, “At that time, the Deleon Group only took one project. Moreover, Jovanni doesn’t want to coborate with the Deleon Group anymore, so he’s opting to work with us on his new project.”

After signing her name, Eileen moved on to another document. With the repeated signings, she could feel her fingers growing tired.

“I’ll take you out for a nutritious and delicious lunch,” Bryan said, having made a reservation at a restaurant. Lately, Eileen had been settling for takeaway meals to quickly satisfy her hunger. Bryan had instructed his secretary to prepare snacks for Eileen, but she was often too busy to eat them.

    “Okay,” Eileen responded enthusiastically.
