?Chapter 1237:
Amoura’s face flushed with embarrassment. “Of course not. You’re a shrewd businesswoman, I know. Presley simply misspoke because she believed she was misunderstood earlier.”
Amoura patted Presley’s shoulder. “Say sorry to Eileen, Presley.”
Presley’s teeth clenched in defiance as she struggled against Eileen’s grip. The bitter taste of wine lingered on her lips, a constant reminder of her humiliation.
Apologize? After being treated like this? No way!
“It seems Presley refuses to apologize, and I won’t ept an insincere one anyway.” Eileen nced at Amoura sideways, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Since you’re both from the Deleon family, Mrs. Deleon, you can apologize on Presley’s behalf.”
Amoura’s anger was palpable as her hands trembled twice, her emotions barely contained.
Ste observed the scene with calm interest, but her expression changed when she saw Amoura’s trembling hands. A flicker of recognition crossed her face. Ste’s eyes narrowed, her gaze locking onto Amoura with a piercing intensity.
“I apologize,” Amoura eventually said, her voiceced with reluctance.
Eileen released Presley, her expression disdainful. She pulled out a tissue and wiped her hands.
“That’s enough for today. I’ve made my point. Let’s be clear: even if my grandson cheated, he would never like Presley. His heart belongs to Eileen. Their bond is strong. From now on, the friendship between the Deleon family and our Dawson family no longer exists.”
“Longer exists. Don’t bother sending us invitations to your family’s events. We won’t be attending.” Ste rose from her seat and then smiled at Eileen.

Eileen offered her arm, and Ste took it, allowing Eileen to escort her away.
The two women departed as suddenly as they had arrived, leaving behind a trail of tension.
Though their visit was brief, they had made their mark, emerging victorious from the sh at the party.
Everyone knew that despite the Deleon Group’s international influence, they couldn’t match the Dawson family’s domestic power.
Since they still lived inside the country, no one dared to cross the Dawson family. With this realization, the guests quickly found excuses to depart.
The once-packed hall emptied soon.
Although she had emerged victorious, Ste felt a growing sense of unease. As soon as she reached the car, she said, “Amoura must know a lot about our Dawson family!”
Eileen nodded. “I had my doubts about Amoura when Gabri had that allergic reactionst time, but Amoura’s identity has been buried so deep overseas that I couldn’t dig up any solid information.”
Ste met Eileen’s gaze, her voice firm. “Who else could hide in the shadows and resurface with a new face? We both know exactly who Amoura really is.”
“Let me handle this.” Eileen’s expression turned serious. “You should stay in the Dawson Mansion for now. If Amoura truly is who we suspect she is, things could get veryplicated. We need concrete evidence before we can take any action against her.”
Ste let out a weary sigh. “Why is our Dawson family cursed with such bad luck? She is always the one causing trouble for us!”
