Chapter 1206

    ?Chapter 1206:

“You really want a divorce, don’t you?” Colby sneered, his wordsced with venom. His emotions had reached a boiling point, and he no longer cared about the consequences.

With a fierce tug, he grabbed Presley’s hair and dragged her up the stairs to the second floor. “Go ahead and try! Believe it or not, I’ll scatter your mother’s ashes all over the ce! When you cheated on me, didn’t you ever stop to think if that was right? You deserve this beating!”

The vi echoed with the sickening sounds of Colby’s beating and swearing, growing louder and more intense. Presley’s initial defiance gave way to desperate tears and pleas for mercy. After a while, a shred of sanity finally kicked in, and Colby stopped. He mmed the door shut, leaving Presley alone outside the room. He flopped onto the bed, phone in hand, and began dialing numbers, contacting Presley’s students to ask about what had happened.

Each person told a simr story.

The coffee stain on Presley’s clothes had led her to the restroom to clean up, but in the chaotic moment, water had sshed onto Bryan and Presley, creating amotion. Othersughed it off as a humorous mishap, but Colby’s mindtched onto the incident. He harbored a grudge, fueled by the fact that Bryan had a past with Presley.

“You’re shameless! With all your wealth and power, you’re still entangled with a woman like her. You must be obsessed!” Colby spat in disgust. “Don’t you know what’s off-limits to men? Now, you can’t me me for being harsh!”

The next morning, Eileen made a hasty exit, citing a pressing matter at the Group as her excuse. She wanted to go to thepany to catch up on much-needed sleep. The previous night had been exhausting.

Bryan had left for his morning exercise, feeling energized. Fearing what Bryan might do when he returned, Eileen had left home before Bryan got back.

At seven in the morning, there were few people in the building, allowing Eileen to slip into the lounge unnoticed. She quickly fell asleep.

She slumbered undisturbed until Raymond’s phone call woke her up.

“Don’t forget, there’s a meeting at one in the afternoon,” Raymond said to Eileen. He thought Eileen hade to thepany.

“I’m already at thepany,” Eileen replied, trying to sound alert. “I’ll make it to the meeting on time.”

Groggily, she rose. Her body ached all over, a reminder of the previous night’s events.

After freshening up, Eileen headed downstairs to grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. She settled into a window seat.

As soon as she ced her order, she dove into conversation with Phoebe about the previous night’s events.

“Don’t trust men easily,” Phoebe warned. “None of them are reliable.”

“Will you only be satisfied when you see me get a divorce?” Eileen asked.

Eileen knew better than to try to tame Phoebe’s fiery temper. After seeing Eileen’s message, Phoebe directly called Eileen, and Eileen answered.

“I’m only saying this because I care about you, okay?” Phoebe replied. “I’m not saying Bryan would cheat, but I’m warning you to watch out for Presley. She looks like trouble!”

“I understand,” Eileen replied, her voiceced with resignation. Before she could continue, a figure suddenly appeared before her, catching her off guard.
