?Chapter 1177:
Bailee recounted everything Huey had said to Winona. Afterward, she sighed and added, “I just don’t know how long this love of his is going tost.”
She understood that Huey treated her well now, and no words could change their reality.
However, deep down, she feared that Huey mighte to regret it one day.
Honestly, she didn’t care much—she had already resolved to spend the rest of her life alone.
However, if Huey did have second thoughts in the future, how would he have a child when he was older?
“Life’s unpredictable,” Eileen said. “Decisionse from the heart. Huey is still young. If he’s stubborn, it just means his heart is pure. People like that don’t change, even as they grow old.”
Eileen did think Huey could regret his choicester.
However, she believed that would just be a temporary emotion, the result of his conflict with Bailee.
Still, in the end, Huey’s decision was that of an adult.
“You’re right,” Bailee agreed, her head lowering as she was about to speak. Just then, two quick knocks sounded at the door, and someone entered. It was Presley.
Eileen’s eyes turned icy as soon as she saw Presley. Presley forced a smile, holding a fruit basket, and said, “I’m here to visit your daughter.”
“No, thanks,” Eileen replied curtly. Her gaze fell on the scratch marks on Presley’s face, but Presley still managed a weak smile. Eileen looked away and said, “Let’s just stay out of each other’s way. No need for polite apologies.”
Presley had been beaten yesterday, but clearly, she couldn’t file awsuit against Eileen.
However, the fact that Presley was here visiting Gabri confused Eileen.
“It’s Angell’s fault. I need to apologize,” Presley said. She entered and ced the items on the bedside. “I spoke to her, and she didn’t mean to cause harm. She identally triggered Gabri’s allergy. It wasn’t intentional. I hope—”
“If you’re here to save face, just drop it,” Eileen interjected. “We don’t need anything. Take them and leave.”
Presley’s embarrassment turned to arrogance as she snapped, “If you’re being like this, then why did you cause trouble for the Deleon Group?”
Eileen was taken aback. She hadn’t made any moves yet. Could Bryan have done something?
Then, the door swung open, and Bryan and Huey walked in.
“Bryan, you’re so considerate. You chose everything ording to Eileen’s taste,” Huey said, astonished by Bryan’s thoughtfulness, even though he was holding Bailee’s favorite food.
“Bryan?” Presley called out in surprise.
Bryan halted, his cold gaze fixed on Presley for a moment before he nodded curtly.
“Why are you here?” Presley asked, ncing at Eileen inquiringly. “Are you here to visit her?”
“Gabri is my daughter,” Bryan said, walking past Presley. He set the lunch on the table and gestured for Eileen to join him.
