Chapter 1161

    ?Chapter 1161:

Eileen felt a lump in her throat. What Bryan had said made sense. After all, the person was Milford’s rtive. She and Milford weren’t rted by blood. Perhaps Milford felt a stronger connection to his rtive.

Eileen suddenly felt her heart grow heavy. Watching Gabri, who was now able to walk and run, she couldn’t stop thinking about how Milford used to coax Gabri, saying, “Call me uncle. I’ll y with you when you wake up.”

Gabri probably didn’t remember Milford anymore. She was old enough to call him uncle now, but he had left.

“He didn’t even say goodbye,” Eileen muttered.

“Boys are often thoughtless,” Bryan said, signaling to Gabri.

Gabri ran up to Eileen and clung to her thighs. “Mommy, let’s eat. I’m hungry.” She patted her stomach. “I’m really hungry.”

“Let’s have dinner.” Eileen didn’t want Gabri to eat the dessert that Bryan had brought. Gabri adored sweets, but they were harmful to her teeth.

Therefore, Eileen took Gabri to the seafood buffet near her workce with Bryan.

Since it wasn’t yet dinner time, there weren’t many people in the restaurant.

Their table by the window was bathed in a golden glow. Eileen carefully selected easily digestible food and fed Gabri. Bryan peeled shrimp for Eileen and ced a small bowl filled with shrimp and crab meat in front of her.

When his phone rang, Bryan removed his disposable gloves, nced at Eileen and theughing, yful Gabri, and stood to step outside.

It was Raymond on the phone.

“I’ve found out everything. Milford intentionally went back to the police station and had someone call you. They said Milford left right after the call. His current location is unknown. I’ve had someone check the nearby surveince footage, but Milford is smart. If he really wants to hide, it’s going to be tough for us to track him down.” Raymond’s voice was filled with anger and worry. “Since Milford doesn’t have a college diploma, a regr clerical job is out of reach for him. Moreover, he’s just twenty years old. What type of job could he possibly find?”

Raymond continued, “Will he resort to stealing again? It wasn’t easy for Ms. Curtis to help him in his hardest times. Would he really go back to that life?”

Bryan nced through the window at Eileen, who was teaching Gabri how to pronounce Milford’s name. He responded in a low voice, “If that happens, I’m sure Eileen will be deeply disappointed. So we need to find Milford as soon as possible.” When Milford had been in the middle of a theft, he had stopped halfway.

Bryan didn’t believe Milford would turn to stealing again, regardless of what he had nned before. Since Milford had run away after seeing Eileen, it meant… Eileen still meant something to him.

After Eileen gave Gabri some egg tarts, Gabri couldn’t sit still any longer. She climbed out of her seat and started calling out, “Bryan, Bryan…”

“That’s Daddy,” Eileen quickly set down what she was holding and followed Gabri, who was running around. “It’s dangerous.” Gabri stopped running and walked slowly, looking around for Bryan.

Suddenly, a person dashed quickly from behind Eileen. As the person passed Gabri, they collided with her. Gabri staggered and was nearly about to hit her head on the corner of a table.
