Chapter 1124

    ?Chapter 1124:

Keith had never seen this diary before. When he saw the familiar handwriting, his facial muscles involuntarily twitched. It was as if Dottie had recorded even the smallest details. He didn’t remember every moment detailed in the diary, and he hadn’t expected Dottie to even record it in the first ce.

“Your hatred for her must not be as great as her love for you,” Eileen said as she closed the diary and put it away. Keith’s hand instinctively reached out to grab it, as ifpelled by a sudden urge to possess it, but he was stopped before he could get close to Eileen.

“You’ve lost the right to her love, and you’ll never get the chance to have it again,” Eileen said to Keith.

Keith’s face contorted in a mix of anger and madness as he burst forth, his words tumbling out in a frantic attempt to shift the me. “I don’t need that chance! I didn’t do anything wrong! It was her fault, all her fault!”

Even though he struggled fiercely, the officers managed to subdue him, and he was pressed to the ground. He stared at Dottie’s sweet smile in the photo on the tombstone with a pair of angry eyes, and his tears fell instinctively.

Bryan positioned himself as a shield, safeguarding Eileen behind him as he observed Keith’s outburst and then his copse. Bryan held Eileen tighter, feeling Keith’s anguish increase involuntarily. He believed that just listening to Keith was enough to make her ufortable. He couldn’t allow Eileen to watch him any longer. The police took Keith away, and silence settled over the tomb once more.

The tributes were now scattered and disordered, with chaotic footprints still visible on the ground near the tomb. Bryan went to ask the police officers a few questions about the subsequent process of interrogating Keith. When he returned, he found the tomb had been tidied up, the tributes rearranged, and the footprints gone, as if the earlier chaos had never urred. Eileen sat on a clean patch of limestone, her eyes fixed on the tomb, lost in thought.

“Before I came here, I thought there might still be a chance that it wasn’t him, or maybe he had his own difficulties. I never imagined that the truth would be anything like this,” Eileen said.

There wasn’t a single piece of evidence against Keith in the whole matter. While Eileen had suspected him, she had hoped she had been wrong and had even made countless excuses for him in her mind.

“You’re lucky to have seen his true colors before it’s toote. And your mom would be relieved she wasn’t able to deceive you,” Bryan patted her shoulder and added, “I’ve asked the police to keep this quiet. If it gets out, it’ll be a huge scandal. Think about how to handle it before it’s toote.”

With multiple cases involved, it was challenging to provide a clear exnation to the public without revealing sensitive information, including Eileen’s rtionship with Keith.

Eileen thought for a moment before saying, “Let’s keep it under wraps. I don’t want my mother to be ridiculed for trusting the wrong guy. As long as Keith gets a severe punishment, that’s enough for me.”

Le’s poor health made the situation even more delicate, as she had previously seen Keith as a source of support and stability for her daughter, making the revtion of his true nature a potentially devastating blow to her. How could Le ept it if the truth came out?

“Okay,” Bryan replied. Very few people knew about the matter, and Bryan had been prepared to keep it a secret.
