Chapter 961

    ?Chapter 961:

Aware of Kam’s desire for anonymity and her need for a skilled ally to handle Eileen, Gianna chose her words carefully.

As expected, Kam was moved by her words.

Gianna said, “We can handle securing the funds on our own, but Eileen is threatening to sue us. Can I ask a favor of you?”

After ying for a whole day, Eileen and Gabri were tired. On the way back, they drifted off to sleep. Gabri was perched on the child’s seat, her tiny head tilted to one side, gently resting against Bryan’s shoulder.

Eileen was lying on Bryan’s chest, disregarding her image, her shirt rolled up, exposing her slim waist.

With one hand, Bryan gently tugged on her shirt, while his other hand cradled Gabri’s head, offering support. As he drove, Raymond couldn’t help but let out a sigh as he caught a glimpse of Bryan’s tender moments with his family in the rearview mirror.

Just then, the abrupt ringing of his mobile phone startled him. He swiftly disconnected the Bluetooth and picked up the call, saying, “Hello… Wait, what? The court session is postponed?”

Raymond was so surprised that he raised his voice. Bryan’s eyes snapped up, and Raymond immediately lowered his voice to a whisper. “Why… Okay, I see.”

After hanging up the phone, Raymond turned to Bryan. “Mr. Dawson, I have some news about Conroy. He has been hospitalized after suffering an attack and has provided a doctor’s note. He’s been advised to avoid any stress or stimtion for the time being.”

Conroy’s condition was so fragile that any stimtion could be detrimental. If he were to attend the court hearing, the intense arguments and loud quarreling would likely prove fatal.

“Find out which hospital he is in,” Bryan said.

“Yes, sir,” Raymond answered, stepping on the gas.

When Eileen woke up, she found herself no longer in the car, and to her surprise, it was already after nine the following morning. Besides horseback riding, they had offered various other recreational activities. Gabri had been thrilled, running around with abandon, while Eileen had grown exhausted from constantly chasing after her.

But Eileen hadn’t expected to sleep through the night!

She sprang to her feet and dashed out the door without shoes, eximing, “Damn it! We can’t bete for court!”

Just as Eileen reached the door, Bryan entered and swiftly swept her into his arms. His strong grasp encircled her slim waist, and his hands supported her thighs to prevent her from falling.

“Why aren’t you wearing your shoes?” Bryan asked.

“We’ll bete for the trial now!” Eileen snapped anxiously. “Why didn’t you wake me?”

Bryan gentlyid her back on the bed, her dark locks syed out around her. When he remained silent, she scowled and delivered a swift kick to his chest. Eileen didn’t use much strength, but Bryan still winced. He grasped her ankle and said, “The trial has been called off.”

“Why?” Eileen asked in shock, her eyes widening.
