?Chapter 913:
Eileen had now made the same decision.
Le continued,
“Their separation was due to misunderstandings. Your grandfather was at fault. I feel sorry for them, but there is no going back. Your mother managed to move on. Over the years, she encountered members of the Aston family several times but always kept your identity a secret, never revealing who you really were.”
Despite the current turmoil within the Vazquez family, only some close rtives knew that Eileen was not actually Conroy’s biological daughter.
As for the media, Conroy had not disclosed it. After all, revealing this would make his intentions to take control of the VQ Group even more apparent, given that he had married into the Vazquez family and lived there for so many years. Being Eileen’s father could still provide some benefits for him.
“I understand, so I won’t do anything. Don’t worry. I took it out as a keepsake. If you think it’s inappropriate, I can put it back,” Eileen reassured Le.
“That’s not necessary,” Le responded.
“Neither of us will react as emotionally as your mother would have upon seeing this. Since she has passed and you’ve already taken it out, just keep it with you.”
After putting the box away, Eileen shifted the conversation and shared a meal with Le.
However, Eileen hadn’t anticipated that the very next morning, right after breakfast, she would hear one of the Vazquez family’s servants announce,
“Mr. Aston is here.”
Every journey starts at gα?ησν????s?c????
Le nodded and instructed the servant to usher Keith in. She then turned to Eileen and cautioned, “He’s your father, but remainposed. He’s unaware of your true identity.”
“Okay,” Eileen replied. Having witnessed the bitter conflicts within the upper echelons of society, Eileen sought to distance herself from any further family squabbles.
Despite her initialposure, Eileen couldn’t help but feel a surge of nervousness when Le revealed the person’s identity.
In the distance, a tall figure, who should have been over fifty years old but looked no older than forty, trailed behind a servant. Keith sported a rxed, casual look in his sportswear and hat, yet his expensive watch hinted at a more affluent persona. But the outfit made him appear surprisingly approachable.
His presence made a positive impression on anyone he met.
“Hello, Mrs. Vazquez.” As Keith entered, he leaned in slightly to greet Le, but his eyes wandered to Eileen several times.
Eileen nodded at him and said with a smile, “Hello, Mr. Aston.”
Last night, Le had told her a lot about Keith. Even though he and Dottie hadn’t ended up together, they had maintained a peaceful and harmonious rtionship.
Later on, when Dottie had lost Eileen, Keith had helped her look for Eileen for a long time. To a certain extent, he had been Dottie’s rock, always motivating Dottie and helping her keep the hope of finding Eileen someday alive. After Dottie’s death, Keith visited Le every year.
“This is…?” Keith’s lips curved into a relieved smile.
