Chapter 911

    ?Chapter 911:

The man tossed his phone onto the bed and settled himself on the edge of the sofa, murmuring, “It seems I must handle this myself.”

He then turned around, picked up his phone again, and dialed a number.

“Help me get in touch with Conroy. I need to speak with him…”

Eileen had to stay at home, caring for her child. Her legs ached so much that she felt like crawling.

Therefore, she chose not to stand while Gabri scampered around the room. Gabri discovered a bronze key and waved it excitedly at Eileen.

“Mom, I found the key to open the treasure!”

Eileen was momentarily stunned before recalling that the key had been given to her by Le, who had instructed her to use it only when absolutely necessary.

She took the key and paused, pondering its secret, her curiosity growing.

When she called Le to check on her, she inquired, “Is this key still of any use? Should I send it back to you?”

“What do you think? I see your curiosity,” Le had seen through Eileen. “If you’re really that curious, go ahead and use the key. But promise me, you’ll do nothing more than look.”

“Okay, I promise,” Eileen responded. After hanging up the phone, her curiosity seemed to ease her aches. She quickly got up, grabbed Gabri, and rushed out to the upscale club where the key could be used.

She handed over the key, and the attendant presented her with an antique box. As soon as she returned to the car, she eagerly opened the box.

Inside were a stack of old photos and numerous letters.

In one photo, a young woman who resembled Eileen clung to a man’s arm, smiling shyly.

The man’s eyes were warm, his gaze filled with affection. He was handsome, with a distinctive mole at the corner of his eye.

Eileen lifted her hand to touch the mole at the corner of her eye. Its cement was nearly identical to the man’s in the photo, but she noted that such marks were rare on men.

The collection included numerous photos. The deep affection shared between the couple in the photo was distinctly evident.

As Eileen looked through the photos, she also read some of the letters.

The signatures read “Dottie Barton” and “Keith Aston.” Both signatures were quite beautiful.

The sheer volume of letters was overwhelming. Eileen read just a few before cing them back.

Keith appeared to be her father.

She wasn’t sure if the reasons for the couple’s separation were detailed in the letters, but she somehow felt inexplicably sad, so she chose not to continue reading.

Just then, she received an unexpected call from the Vazquez Mansion. It was Adide Norris, the newly promoted servant tasked with caring specifically for Le.

“Miss Curtis, since the recent incident with the Vazquez family, many people have been visiting to offer their support. Your grandmother has been tirelessly tending to the guests from start to finish. We’re concerned about her health. What should we do?” Adide asked.

After pausing for a few seconds, Eileen responded decisively,
