    Gabri’s little hand patted Bryan’s cheek.


    “Daddy, Mommy’s so pretty!” she eximed, pointing at Eileen.


    “She is,” Bryan agreed, “But I can’t get close to her.”


    Gabri’s eyes widened in confusion. She was too young to understand Bryan’s frustration.


    “Hey, Gabri,” Bryan said, deciding to try a different tactic. While Le was upied with the guests, he found a quiet corner.


    “You haven’t slept in Mommy’s room for days. How about you sleep in my room tonight?”


    Gabri’s chubby arm rested on Bryan’s shoulder. She happily agreed, “Okay, Daddy!”


    Even though Gabri was excited, it didn’t make Bryan feel happy.


    “What about your Mommy, Gabri? Wouldn’t you like to sleep in the same room as her too? You’ll have to convince Mommy toe sleep with both of us. Then, we’ll all sleep in the same room. Wouldn’t that be great?”


    “I only want to sleep in Daddy’s room!” Gabri dered, causing Bryan’s veins to throb in his temples.


    “Sweety, I’m happy you love me so much. But you’ve got to love Mommy too. Convince Mommy to stay in my room with you, alright?”


    Gabri wasn’t having it.


    “Nope! I only want Daddy!”


    Bryan was left speechless.

    “The wedding ceremony is about to begin,” the emcee announced.


    The emcee gave a brief wee before inviting the bride and groom toe to the stage.


    Conroy was shoved onto the stage by a group of burly bodyguards. He looked disheveled, the boutonniere on his suit almost falling off.


    Gianna was also shoved onto the stage. She was still in yesterday’s clothes, her corsage half-destroyed. She had been sleeping in the living room recently. Her clothes were rumpled, her expression dark. She looked nothing like a happy bride.


    The crowd gasped.


    “What’s going on? They couldn’t even bother to get her a wedding dress?”


    “Something’s definitely not right…”


    The whispers grew louder.


    Looking at the bodyguards, Conroy and Gianna had no choice but to walk forward until they stood before Le.


    Le’s eyes were like daggers.

    “Family?” Le scoffed. She stood up from her wheelchair, moving past the stunned couple. She turned to address the crowd. “Gianna and Conroy are part of the Vazquez family. One is an adopted daughter, the other, the husband of my own daughter. But I think they’ve forfeited their ce in the Vazquez family. Today, I officially remove them from the family. From now on, they will have nothing to do with the Vazquez family! They’re monsters! They cheated on my daughter and had a child, a daughter only a few years younger than Eileen. It’s disgusting!”
