Chapter 871

    ?Chapter 871:

In addition to his sry, he was also entitled to projectmissions and a year-end bonus, making his earnings potentially exceed the earnings of some of thepany’s shareholders. He couldn’t understand why he had feltpelled to take credit for doing things for Eileen.

The more he pondered the situation, the greater his anxiety grew, and he couldn’t shake the possibility that Bryan might eventually fire him if he did something like this again.

Eileen came back to the car with some test results, only to find Emerson had dozed off. His eyshes still glistened with tears, and Dalores’ clothes were also dampened by his cry.

Eileen gave the examination report to Dalores, exining, “The nurse reviewed it with me, and the levels for eachponent are not too low. You just need to wait for the results of the bone marrow test.”

“Okay, thank you.” Dalores took the report, scanned it for a bit, and then set it aside. She couldn’t understand its content anyway.

Eileen was about to drop Dalores off when she ran into Sariyah at the entrance of the vi district.

Sariyah recognized Eileen’s car and waved as she walked over. Seeing this, Dalores quickly ducked down to avoid being seen by Sariyah.

“Are you going home at this hour?” Sariyah asked through the car window, chatting with Eileen.

“I came back to get something,” Eileen replied.

She caught a glimpse of Dalores hiding in the back seat and smiled. “I’m in a rush; let’s catch up another time.”

Sariyah took two steps back to clear the way and said, “Okay. Bye.”

Eileen then drove into the vi district.

“Do you know her?” Eileen asked Dalores.

“She’s Sariyah González, Kinsey’s mistress and the daughter of the prominent González family,” Dalores exined. She sat up, breathing a sigh of relief. “Kinsey told me to stay out of Sariyah’s sight.”

“Sariyah has beening here daily recently,” Eileen said, puzzled. “How have you managed to avoid her, given that she visits Kinsey’s residence every day?”

Dalores let out a deep sigh and confessed, “The past few days have been tough with Emerson not feeling well. Whenever Sariyah came, I’d lock myself in my room, and Kinsey would ensure I stayed there. It’s only after they’ve gone to bed that I can evene downstairs for dinner.”

Eileen was speechless. This was really ridiculous.

“Kinsey needs to ensure that he stays here every day; he doesn’t stay anywhere else at night,” Dalores exined. That was why Kinsey didn’t go to Sariyah’s ce.

They had been navigating a challenging situation, but now that the storm had passed, Sariyah had been frequenting Kinsey’s vi so much that it seemed like she lived there. However, Dalores had overheard Kinsey talking with Sariyah several times before, asking her to return home and promising to visit soon, but Sariyah had refused to leave.

“You can take Emerson home. If there’s anything else, feel free to reach out to me.” After parking the car, Eileen continued, “If Emerson is diagnosed with leukemia, you—”
