Chapter 829

    ?Chapter 829:

Julio retrieved a document from his bag and handed it to Dalores. It detailed the terms concerning their child.

Included were numerous messages from an unknown person, urging Dalores to leave Julio and terminate her pregnancy. The document required her signature and fingerprints. Dalores carefully examined all the documents before signing.

“Why are you being so cautious?” Julio said, smirking slightly.

“You studiedw. I couldn’t possibly deceive you.”

“I’m always cautious,” Dalores replied as she signed the documents, adding some terms at the bottom. “Do you really think you can fool me?”

“Remember, I used to be awyer too,” she countered.

Hearing this, Dalores paused. She suddenly felt the need to scrutinize every word in the documents thoroughly.

Julio gave a mocking smile, leaned back in his chair, and looked at her. “But you’re hardly my maniption. Just pass me the documents if you’re finished.”

This wasn’t strong enough to directly implicate Mabel in anything, but it was better than nothing.

Once Dalores had finished signing, she handed Julio the pen. Then, she took out another document. “You need to sign this agreement.”

Julio briefly looked at it and realized it was a contract requiring him to never contact Dalores again.

He stayed seated, choosing not to review the specific terms. “You think it’s toote to ask me to sign this now?” he said. She had already signed his documents. What leverage did she have now topel him to sign hers?

Dalores frowned and stared at him, unsurprised. “I anticipated you might renege on our agreement, so I haven’t signed the final document for you.”

Upon hearing this, Julio reviewed the documents she had returned and, sure enough, found thest signature space empty.

The handwriting on Dalores’ documents was precise and familiar—he had once guided her hand, teaching her each letter. Her handwriting had remained unchanged ever since.

“Dalores, who taught you to be so shrewd?” Julio ced the documents down and regarded her with a blend of curiosity and ire.

Previously, she had always cowered at his anger. Whenever he red at her like this, she would quickly admit her mistake. This time, Dalores was able to resist. “People change. I’ve seen this aspect in you before.”

All of a sudden, Julio’s face darkened.

Dalores and Julio reached an impasse, looking at each other. Suddenly, Kinsey appeared beside them.

Positioned between them, Kinsey shifted his gaze from Dalores to Julio before taking a seat next to Dalores. He briefly nced at the documents on the table but soon disregarded them. Turning toward Dalores, he inquired, “It seems you’re quite familiar with Mr. Ferguson on a personal level, aren’t you?”

“Not in the slightest,” Dalores replied. “We’re all from Onnd. He requested a favor, and I’m merely helping him out.”
