?Chapter 770:
As the vice president of the Group, Eileen had earned her monthly bonuses because of her role in helping Julio reim the Frequeson family’s fortune. Consequently, she believed it was her responsibility to pick up her boss from the airport.
Bryan, however, disagreed. He arranged for Raymond to pick Julio up from the airport instead.
He rolled over and went back to sleep, holding Eileen in his arms.
“I don’t think it’s wise to let Raymond do this. Julia wouldn’te to Alverton without a reason—he must have something significant to do. I need to see him,” Eileen said as she gave him a gentle poke in the arm.
“I don’t agree. Julio called my wife to fetch him early in the morning; he wasn’t being polite at all.” Bryan rested his chin on Eileen’s shoulder, his forehead gently touching her cheek. His voice, den with frustration, murmured softly in her ear, enveloping her in its sound.
Eileen responded softly, “But he is my boss.”
“And your husband,” Bryan reminded her with irritation, gently nipping at her earlobe. Though Bryan applied only slight pressure, Eileen winced and pulled away. “Ah! That hurts!”
As Eileen voiced her difort, Gabri’s voice chimed in.
“Hit!”
Eileen and Bryan both turned to look at Gabri, who was now awake. With sleepy eyes, Gabri scowled at Bryan and yelled, “Hit!”
“Not hurt, sweetheart,” Eileen said as she swiftly moved away from Bryan and held Gabri in her arms. “Even if Daddy might deserve a scolding, he’s still your father. You can’t hit him, alright? That’s Mommy’s job. Do you understand?”

Gabri looked up at Eileen with wide eyes, not quite grasping the situation but beaming happily in Eileen’s embrace. Bryan managed a smile, but his cheerful mood was short-lived as Eileen added, “For instance, even though my boss interrupted my sleep, he is still my boss. I can’t just disregard him. Don’t you agree?”
“Eileen!” Bryan’s roar reverberated through the vi.
After some persuasion, Eileen finally got Bryan’s permission to go see Julio. Bryan insisted on apanying her.
Raymond had booked Julio into the city’s most opulent hotel. Just after Juliopleted his check-in, Eileen and Bryan arrived.
In the luxurious suite, there was no sign of luggage. Only Julio, who stood by the window with a cigarette. Upon seeing Eileen and Bryan enter, Bryan carrying Gabri, Julio hurriedly extinguished his cigarette and opened the window to let in some fresh air.
“Mr. Dawson, I wasn’t expecting you to be here, too,” Julio said.
“It’s no trouble at all. Feel free to reach out to me if you need anything next time,” Bryan replied, giving Julio’s hand a firm shake, subtly indicating that Julio should contact him for help instead of reaching out to Eileen.
Julio couldn’t suppress augh after a brief pause.
Eileen nced at Bryan before turning to Julio with a serious look.
“Mr. Walsh, what brings you to Alverton so abruptly?”
“Well, there’s an urgent project that requires my personal attention,” Julio exined after a brief pause. “I apologize for bothering you. How have you been in here?”
