Chapter 764

    ?Chapter 764:

    Dolores shook her head again.

“He never specified an end date. At the time, my circumstances didn’t allow me any leverage to negotiate.”

Thus, she was stuck in her current situation, uncertain if she would ever escape.

“Why are you here in Alverton? How did you know about the Vazquez family?” Dolores asked.

Eileen exined everything to Dolores. She knew that to maintain a low profile in Onnd and avoid Kinsey’s future suspicions, she needed cooperation in keeping up the facade.

“It makes sense now. I overheard Kinsey mentioning a cousin recently. I never imagined you were the long-lost child of the Vazquez family,” Dolores said.

When Dolores heard that Eileen was hiding her true identity as Bryan’s wife, she grimaced and responded, “This is tooplicated. If I hadn’t been in dire need of money, I wouldn’t have gotten involved.”

“If you’re considering leaving, I can offer financial support. I’m not sure what Kinsey and Conroy are scheming, or how you and your child fit into their ns.” There was clear worry on Dolores’ face. Eileen didn’t hesitate to offer her full support.

Dolores considered this for a moment, but before she could respond, she noticed someone approaching from a distance. She was so startled that she quickly stood up and eximed, “Jessica is here!”

Jessica was visible through the window, stepping out of a car. She wore pink overalls, and her hair was styled in a ponytail. Her yful attire was at odds with her angry expression. Dolores quickly ducked down, gripping the stroller, ensuring that when Jessica nced over, she only saw Eileen. Jessica then turned and made her way toward the coffee shop.

“Ms. Curtis, let’s discuss this another time. If Jessica sees us together, I’ll be in trouble. I need to leave now,” Dolores said as she crouched down and maneuvered out of the coffee shop through the side with the stroller.

Jessica had already entered through the coffee shop’s front entrance. She marched straight toward Eileen, raising her hand to p her.

But Eileen swiftly caught her wrist and calmly asked, “Ms. Marshall, what exactly do you think you’re doing?”

“What do you think I’m doing?” Jessica snapped, fury evident in her voice. “How dare you trick mest night? When exactly did Mr. Dawson give you that card? You were the one who ced it in there. How did you manage to get Mr. Dawson to protect you like that?”

Jessica had suppressed her anger all night, eagerly awaiting the chance to confront Eileen at the office. But after spending the entire morning waiting at thepany, she discovered that Eileen and Bryan hadn’t gone to work at all. Enraged, she hurried back and, from afar, noticed Eileen’s car parked near the mall’s entrance. She headed straight inside, her demeanor frosty.

Eileen shook off Jessica’s hand and replied, “If you’re curious about why Mr. Dawson is protecting me, ask him yourself. There’s no reason to direct your frustration at me.”

“Direct my frustration at you?” Jessica pulled back her hand and sneered. “Who do you think you are? You’re not worth my wrath! I could end you easily. Today is your final opportunity—leave now before it’s toote!”

“I have no interest in your so-called opportunity,” Eileen replied icily. “If you’re sopetent, stop just talking big. Do whatever you want to do then. Your threats are simply irritating.”
