?Chapter 755:
Lenny nodded in admiration, then looked at Eileen with concern.
“Now, Mr. Dawson can look out for you. But once he leaves thepany, you might face tough times. How could Jessica tolerate you then?”
After a moment of thought, Eileen shook her head and said, “Jessica won’t wait until Mr. Dawson’s departure. She’ll keep causing problems until she either gives up or Mr. Dawson decides to rece me.”
It was unlikely she would be reced, but she didn’t express this to Lenny.
Lenny nodded with even greater respect and said, “You’re so courageous. Go on. If you ever need help, just let me know.”
“I’ll head upstairs now,” Eileen replied. She gathered her things, informed Savanna, and made her way upstairs.
Jessica was in Bryan’s office. Eileen knew Jessica had been talking with Bryan, but it was clear Jessica was upset.
When Jessica noticed Eileen entering, her frustration was palpable.
“Ms. Marshall, please inform them that I’ll treat them to dinner tonight,” Bryan instructed, signaling it was time for Jessica to leave.
Jessica turned and left, giving a snort as she passed by Eileen. Once the office door was shut, only three people remained in the room. Bryan released Gabri, who excitedly ran towards Eileen.
“Ma!” Gabri dashed to Eileen and wrapped her little arms around Eileen’s legs. She then looked up at Eileen with a beaming smile, which made Eileen’s heart melt.

Although Eileen saw Gabri daily at home over the past two days at thepany, she had had to turn Gabri down when she tried to embrace her. This had made her feel quite ufortable. Now, she could finally embrace Gabri without any hesitation. She cradled Gabri and yed with her in the office.
Bryan, feeling overlooked, reminded Eileen, “The office next door belongs to Conroy.”
Instinctively, Eileen lowered her voice while ying with Gabri.
Meanwhile, people in the office next door whispered, trying to keep their conversation private.
“What did you say?” Conroy discarded his pen, stood up, and looked at Jessica.
“Who did Mr. Dawson choose?”
“Eileen Curtis,” Jessica responded.
At this, Conroy’splexion turned ghostly white.
Unaware of the implications, Jessica continued, “Mr. Dawson instructed Eileen to pack up after work today and move into his house.”
Bryan’s house? That’s next to where he lived!
The more Conroy thought about it, the darker his expression became.
“Conroy, you need toe up with something to stop this!” Jessica approached and clung to Conroy’s arm. “If I can’t get close to Mr. Dawson, how will you manage to talk about the cooperation with him?”
Conroy felt his head spinning. After a moment of silence, he pushed Jessica’s hand away and said, “Let me think for a bit. I’ll figure something out.”
