?Chapter 748:
Lenny sighed. “Not that I’m unwilling to investigate him, just that I’m not interested in Kinsey. He’s married. There’s no point in me getting close to him.”
Eileen suddenly turned to look at her. “Kinsey is married?”
“Yes. He got married a few months ago and recently celebrated his baby’s one-month milestone,” Lenny answered earnestly.
“He’s married and you still have feelings for him and are pursuing him?” Eileen asked in disbelief.
Lenny shrugged. “What’s wrong with that? It’s a trend among young people. I’m attracted to his appearance, not aiming to be with him. It’s simr to being a fan of a movie star.”
Maybe because of the age gap, Eileen was unfamiliar with this modern phenomenon. She remained stunned by the revtion that Kinsey was married.
“Kinsey got married a few months ago and the baby is already a month old?” she inquired.
Lenny did a quick calction.
“Yes, he got married less than three months ago. It happened suddenly. I wasn’t here at the time, but after I arrived, I learned that many single women at thepany were heartbroken. Kinsey is impressive, but his rapid marriage and the quick arrival of his child have raised doubts. Many people doubt the child is even his.”
Given the timeline, the child was likely not his. However, nowadays, premarital pregnancies were not unusual. Since Kinsey’s wife was never seen by anyone in thepany, the truth remained elusive.
Eileen finished her food just as her phone buzzed. It was a message from Bryan: “Leaving?”

Eileen put her phone down, returned her tray, and walked briskly out of the canteen.
To uncover the truth about Conroy, she needed to cut any apparent connections with Bryan.
She didn’t look back and ignored the sound of Gabri stirring and fussing. She forced herself to keep moving and quickened her steps.
However, while she waited for the elevator, Jessica Marshall, the young woman frequently seen with Conroy, approached her. Jessica positioned herself beside Eileen, examining her with an unrestrained gaze.
“Where are you from?” she asked.
“Onnd,” Eileen replied.
Jessica nodded, appearing to understand something.
“That exins why Mr. Dawson entrusted the child to you. You’re from the same ce.”
Eileen stayed quiet as she followed Jessica into the elevator. With Lenny having dashed off to take a call, Eileen found herself alone with Jessica. Noticing that Jessica was still staring at her through the reflection in the elevator wall, Eileen decided to ask.
“Do you work for thepany? What’s your name?”
“Jessica Marshall, director of thepany,” Jessica responded, ncing at Eileen’s intern badge. “Just call me Miss Marshall.”
“Nice to meet you, Miss Marshall,” Eileen replied.
