Chapter 729

    ?Chapter 729:

After Bryan and Gabri vanished through the gate, Eileen wheeled Le into the room.

“Wait a minute,” Le said abruptly, cing her hand on the wheels to halt the wheelchair.

At this, Eileen stopped in her tracks.

“Is something wrong, Grandma?” she asked.

“Tracey is in the room. Take me to the garden,” Le replied, pointing in a particr direction.

Lifting her gaze, Le looked at Eileen, signaling her with her eyes. Eileen caught on quickly and changed direction.

The next second, Tracey emerged from the room. “Miss Curtis, it’s chilly outside. Why don’t you bring Mrs. Vazquez back inside since you’ve finished eating?”

“I’d like to go out and enjoy the sun for a bit,” Le said promptly. Tracey still approached them with the intention of taking the wheelchair.

“It’s too cold this early in the morning. There isn’t any sunlight yet.”

Eileen maintained her grip on the wheelchair handles as Tracey gently patted her wrist, suggesting, “Let me take her back inside.”

Le’s face showed a mix of urgency and disappointment, her eyes wide with unspoken concern.

Eileen firmly pushed Tracey’s hand away. “No need. I’m taking my grandma out for a little stroll in the garden. She’s bundled up well, and even though the morning sun isn’t strong, the weather isn’t too cold. Besides, the air in the garden is fresh and invigorating at this hour. We’ll be outside for a while.”

    ???? ??????? ?? ?????????.???

Tracey, taken aback, stared at Eileen.

Turning slightly, Eileen asked, “Any other concerns?”

Eileen’smanding presence rendered Tracey speechless. Just yesterday, Eileen had been the epitome of calm and gentleness, but today, she exuded a strong andmanding demeanor, looking like an entirely different person.

Without thinking, Tracey shook her head slightly and replied, “No.”

“Grandma, let’s visit the garden,” Eileen said. Then, she wheeled Le away.

A soft smile yed on Le’s lips as she sat in her wheelchair, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes as she thought of something.

The garden was bathed in the soft glow of early morning sunshine, surrounded by expansive ins that the wind constantly caressed.

Once they found a sheltered nook, Eileen knelt down to adjust Le’s clothing.

Suddenly, Le sped Eileen’s hand firmly and said with conviction, “You’re sharp. You must have realized there’s something amiss with the Vazquez family.”

Eileen looked up, her expression a mix of shock and confusion. “I noticed something amiss, but I can’t pinpoint what it is,” she admitted.

“Take Grandma’s advice. Don’t trust anyone easily. The situation here is far moreplicated than it seems,” Le said urgently.

No sooner had she spoken than the sound of footsteps approached.
