?Chapter 704:
Piece by piece, the life-sustaining equipment was removed, each action amplifying Brandon’s agony, causing him to thrash violently.
“You… Why?” Brandon managed to say.
Christos raised an eyebrow, his indifference chilling. “My pursuit of medicine was to champion justice and punish the wicked, not to save lives and mend wounds.”
Brandon’s heart seethed with rage. How dare Christos say that? What did the Dawson family’s affairs have to do with him?
“Then… you should punish Lydia!” Brandon spat out.
Christos’ face stiffened, his gaze turning icy. “Worry not. In time, all will descend into hell’s depths to join you. Pray that your wife has forgiven you by then. Otherwise, you’ll have to continue your quarrels even after death.”
Brandon’s face, once flushed with effort and pain, slowly drained of color as his breath faltered. His eyes remained open, staring nkly, as life slipped away.
Expressionless, Christos turned and left the ICU. He shed his sterile garb and donned a peaked cap. After a moment of thought, he headed in another direction.
An hourter, Bryan emerged from the examination room, the doctor at his heels, holding a report. “Congrattions, Mr. Dawson. All the toxins have been flushed from your system. The prolonged unconsciousness? Likely due to a sedative mixed into your antidote. It’s harmless though,” the doctor assured.
“Thank you,” Bryan replied, epting the report and shaking hands with the doctor.
Turning, his gaze found Eileen, who stood a short distance away. She had heard every word the doctor had said. A smile broke through her tears, a mixture of relief and joy too powerful to contain. She didn’t say anything, but her emotions were evident.
That evening, a grand celebration was organized in arge private room, drawing a lively crowd, including Bailee and Huey. The mood was exuberant as Huey regaled everyone with tales from histest gaming exploits, yfully boasting about his strategies in the newest season. He also shared with everyone what he had done when he had been off the fact that Bryan was actually Apex.

Laughter filled the room, echoing into thete hours.
Exhausted from a sleepless night, Eileen leaned on Bryan. “Let’s head back and sleep. Sleep, literally.”
Bryan, loungingfortably on the plush sofa, couldn’t help butugh at her emphasis.
“You head out first, I’ll follow in five minutes,” he whispered, knowing well that he was the center of attention tonight and that it would be difficult for him to leave now.
Eileen, catching the mischievous glint in his eye, smiled knowingly and discreetly exited the room.
True to his word, Bryan emerged soon after. Then, they both got into the car to go home.
As Bryan started the engine, Eileen stretched and yawned, her thoughts shifting to business matters. “Tomorrow is the new productunch for EB Group. It has been dyed by two days, but thankfully, the core technology hasn’t been leaked. It’s going to be big sess.”
