?Chapter 702:
After all, Bryan had been unconscious for a long time. Josue knew Bryan would be intimate with Eileen after finally waking up. Josue and Jacob were sure that’s what had happened the previous night.
“Rest for a while,” Bryan said gently to Eileen. It was six in the morning now, and Bryan wanted Eileen to rest as much as possible, even though he knew she found it hard to fall asleep.
Eileen lifted her head and pressed a gentle kiss on his cheek. Her slender arms draped around his sturdy waist, and she replied with azy, contented smile.
Bryan traced light patterns on her shoulder with one hand, while the other thumbed through his phone. A shadow of concern suddenly passed over his eyes.
At eight o’clock, Gabri’s voice rang out, calling for them.
Ruby carefully positioned Gabri at the door, allowing her to inch forward, her hands sliding along the wall for bnce. When there was nothing left for her to grip, Gabri crawled across the floor. She grabbed the edge of the bedspread and hoisted herself up with a swift roll.
Plopping down between Eileen and Bryan, Gabri shed a wide grin. Bryan immediately lifted her onto hisp. “Weren’t you quite the troublemaker on our wedding day?” he asked, still remembering what had happened clearly that day.
Gabri, not understanding what he had said, simply smiled at Bryan, her eyes locked onto him, pletely ignoring Eileen.
Eileen gently poked Gabri’s round belly and said, “Give Daddy a kiss. He’s feeling upset.” She wasn’t sure if Gabri could understand, but the little girl gazed at Bryan with her big eyes.
Then, Gabri leaned in, puckered her lips, and nted a kiss right on Bryan’s cheek. Bryan’s face was quickly covered in drool, but he smiled happily.
Eileen couldn’t help but chuckle. She was surprised that a kiss from Gabri had erased Bryan’s frustration so quickly.

The three of them stayed on the bed for a while, enjoying the peaceful moment.
Ruby had already had her breakfast and prepared a meal for them. Bryan could now walk as usual. Ruby had noticed this when he hade home the previous night. She still felt happy thinking of this now while feeding Gabri. She was on the verge of tears but managed to keep them at bay.
After Bryan and Eileen finished their breakfast, Ruby took over caring for Gabri and gently nudged them to go to the hospital.
With the appointment set, Bryan headed directly to the examination room as soon as they arrived at the hospital. Josue and Jacob were already there. Once Bryan was inside, Jacob sidled up to Eileen and said in a low voice, “Brandon is still in the ICU, not dead. His condition is critical.”
Eileen recalled the severity of Brandon’s electric shock yesterday. She had thought he had died then.
“But the doctors don’t think he’ll make it. Even if he survives, he’ll face a lifetime of suffering,” Jacob added.
Eileen shot a nce toward the examination room and said, “Don’t tell Bryan about this.”
