?Chapter 692:
Raymond’s brow furrowed in frustration. “It’s amon saying that when the tree falls, the monkeys scatter. Yet, for Brandon to spearhead such a maneuver, especially considering he is Bryan’s father… I…” He nearly cursed aloud.
“This might be a blessing in disguise,” Eileen interjected. “Look into Brandon’s recent dealings. See who he has been associating with. Even if we don’t have concrete proof yet, find that person and try to uncover evidence of Brandon bribing them.”
If they were right, Brandon would be caught red-handed, breakingmercialw. Bryan had always suspected that Brandon would hold a grudge and seek revenge, but the rapid esction with Coen had caught him off guard. He hadn’t had the time to deal with Brandon. Now that Brandon had made his move, Eileen was ready to seize this opportunity.
Raymond saw the wisdom in Eileen’s strategy. “Understood, Ms. Curtis. I’ll get on it immediately.”
By the afternoon, Raymond had unearthed evidence of a senior executive who had secretly been in contact with Brandon.
“Get a few people together to join the dinner tonight with me,” Eileen said. “I expect Jonathan willy out his terms then. He can’t monopolize this technology but might try to exploit any reluctance to unveil the product’s features before theunch, aiming to squeeze out some advantages.”
A single project wasn’t enough to immediately jeopardize EB Group, but with Brandon’s ndestine schemes and the mounting pressure from shareholders, it was a challenge to ensure thepany wouldn’t suffer significantly.
Eileen knew she had to save this project unless there was no other choice.
Following Eileen’s directives without hesitation, Raymond enlisted a few bodyguards and a couple of senior executives to apany Eileen to the dinner. At the same time, he began questioning the senior executive who had leaked thepany’s core technology, determined to gather evidence before Jonathan made his demandster in the evening.
If they managed to demonstrate that Jonathan and Brandon were involved inmercial malfeasance, Jonathan would be deterred from exposing the core technology, knowing that doing so would only exacerbate his potential penalties.

Having coordinated these efforts on Eileen’s behalf, Raymond set out to confront the traitor, Truett Gomez, trapping him at his residence.
Truett, a 45-year-old long-term employee at Apex Group, had climbed the ranks thanks to Brandon. Surprised by Raymond’s appearance at his doorstep, Truett’s initial shock soon morphed into a smile. “Raymond, to what do I owe the pleasure?” he asked casually.
“You know exactly why I’m here,” Raymond replied, not bothering to wait for an invitation as he brushed past Truett to enter his house.
As he entered, he noticed a small suitcase by the door, its zipper slightly open, revealing a glimpse of something greenish inside. Truett followed him in, swiftly grabbed the suitcase, and disappeared into a bedroom, shutting the door behind him. He then returned, gesturing for Raymond to take a seat.
“Raymond, I didn’t expect you to visit me today. Unfortunately, I’m out of coffee beans, so you’ll have to make do with water,” Truett said, pouring a cup of warm water and handing it to Raymond.
Raymond epted the water and looked around curiously. “Are your wife and child not home, Mr. Gomez?”
“They’re on vacation abroad,” Truett replied with a faint smile.
