?Chapter 645:
Here she was, suffering in prison, while Eileen had everything she wanted.
Z’s eyes turned cold as she thought of something. She pressed her lips together, contemting her next move.
After a long while, she suddenly sat up. She grabbed the small mirror from the table and hurled it to the floor, shattering it. Then, she picked up a sharp fragment and shed her wrist.
Blood poured out immediately. Someone quickly triggered the loud prison rm, and the entire facility erupted into chaos…
In the middle of the night, the prison guard rushed Z to the nearest hospital for urgent medical care. The prompt medical response was life-saving, but the significant blood loss meant she would need a few days to recover.
Z was content with her short two-day hospital stay. The difort in her wrist was of no concern to her.
A single prison guard remained on duty outside her room, stationed by the door but not entering. The doctorspleted their rounds quickly, saying only what was absolutely necessary, mindful of her unique situation.
However, a young nurse, probably a recent graduate in her twenties, felt a strong sense of sympathy upon witnessing Z’s distress.
As they walked away from the ward, the doctor cautioned the young nurse, “Those who seem pitiable often have their own ws. You don’t know her well. Don’t risk your career over her, got it?”
“While administering medication, I saw bruises on her arms. Could she be experiencing abuse in prison?” The young nurse expressed concern. “Should we alert the guard?”
The doctor’s expression grew stern. “Who are you to make such judgments? Every environment has its own politics. You can’t even manage your own issues, and you’re concerned about others? Consider this a final warning—don’t get involved!”
The young nurse promptly lowered her head in acknowledgment. “I understand.”

At the luxury hotel, Roderick stepped out of the taxi and straightened his perfectly pressed suit. After making sure everything was in order, he walked into the hotel.
After providing the names Eileen and Bryan to the receptionist, he was directed to a private room. He was thest to arrive, as everyone else was already there.
Ruby and Bailee had kindly reserved a seat for Roderick next to Bryan.
“You’re here,” Ruby said, indicating the seat next to Bryan. “Please, take a seat.”
Roderick replied, slightly nervous, and then greeted Ste and the others before taking his seat. He quietly listened as Ste and Ruby discussed the wedding arrangements.
“Basically, the process will be much like what we discussed previously. However, we will listen to their preferences and keep it low-key with a smaller guest list,” Ste said.
Ste opened a box containing property deeds and various documents. Finally, she pulled out a ck bank card.
