Chapter 636

    ?Chapter 636:

Judie rolled her eyes and eximed, “You promised me that if you kept pestering Eileen, she’d eventually cave and buy us a vi! So, what’s happening now? Are you just making empty promises, or are you stalling to buy yourself a couple more days of cking off?”

Denise found herself at a loss for words, caught in a dilemma.

“I’ve told Roderick you’ve been under the weathertely and need at least a week off to recover. But make no mistake, you need to wrap this up within the week. I want that vi under my name before the baby arrives,” Judie dered.

After saying that, she banned Denise from working there and sent her away, anticipating problems if Roderick discovered anything amiss. That would onlyplicate matters further.

Denise left the restaurant in a huff and made her way to the bus station, frustration clouding her thoughts.

Within roughly two days, the doctor had the sample tested, and the results were ready.

Upon receiving the information, Josue wasted no time. He summoned Eileen to the hospital and mmed the stack of examination reports onto the bed.

“What aplete jerk Christos is!” he eximed in anger.

Eileen shot him a look before hastily flipping through the reports.

“Is he ying a joke on us? This test report says it’s just water! Literally just pure, natural water!” Josue was fuming, his hands nted firmly on his hips. The testing staff were in disbelief. Despite running the tests multiple times, they had to confirm that the sample was nothing but water.

Eileen felt a sharp pain in her head. The hope she had harbored for days shattered in an instant.

Clutching the test reports tightly, her lips pressed into a thin line, Eileen remained silent.

“He’ll reach out again,” Bryan said as he pushed back the quilt and swung his legs out of bed. He gently took the reports from Eileen’s grasp.

After a moment, he tenderly brushed her long hair with his hand. “Christos isn’t nearly as heartless as Coen. Remember Lydia? She spent years crafting a new identity for Christos, meticulously nning every move, only for him to destroy everything without a second thought. It shows that at least he despises such deception.”

While Christos was far from a saint, he wasn’t a viin relentlessly pursuing his desires.

Eileen had never seen Christos as a bad person, especially after he had stolen the documents from Brandon’s safe for her.

Yet this time, he had crushed all her hope.

“We need to keep tracking Christos,” Bryan suggested, subtly signaling Josue.

Josue, noticing Eileen pretending to be strong, sighed deeply. “Okay, I promise to find him,” he dered resolutely.

Then, he strode out of the hospital room.

Eileen snatched the test report from Bryan’s hands, ripped it into pieces, and marched to the trash can to dispose of it.
