?Chapter 587:
Their remarks reached Bryan, who was standing still by the door. Leaning against the wall, cigarette in hand, Bryan took a long drag. He couldn’t hear Eileen’s exact response to the crowd, but he noticed the chatter growing louder.
“Mr. Dawson.” Zelda emerged from the yard, saying, “Almost everyone has arrived. Let’s head inside.”
“You invited her?” Bryan questioned Zelda.
Zelda, slightly uneasy, replied, “My father thought it would be appropriate, since Miss Curtis is well-known here.”
Bryan’s piercing gaze seemed to see right through Zelda’s thoughts. He extinguished his cigarette, dropped it to the ground, and stuffed his hands into his pockets as he moved toward the courtyard. “Don’t y any tricks.”
His low tone was enough to make Zelda flinch. She watched him leave before regaining herposure and following him.
Inside the yard, about eight tables were filled with guests chatting happily. People were engaged in a lively discussion about how the small vige would transform into a resort, with Eileen and Benjamin at the center of the conversation.
Eileen nced at Bryan, who had joined the same table as her. He remained silent after sitting down, seemingly indifferent to the vige’s future.
“We’re not hosting today,” Eileen said, realizing the shift in focus. “Let’s save the vige reconstruction talks forter and focus on the wedding now.”
The vigers, realizing they had overlooked the host, quickly changed the topic to discuss the uing wedding with Felipe.
Meanwhile, Eileen took the opportunity to feed Gabri some food. “Let me hold her. You should eat,” she said to Benjamin.
“No need, she’s quite taken with me,” Benjamin replied, visibly charmed by the little girl, who smiled up at him.

Gabri beamed at Eileen. When she caught sight of Bryan, her babbling grew louder, and her smile widened.
Eileen looked up and caught Bryan’s gaze. In the next moment, she gently turned Gabri’s head away.
“Honey, don’t look around. It’ll scare you,” Eileen said softly.
Gabri beamed at her, then tried to pull herself up using Benjamin’s thigh. She spun around, wrapping her little arms around Benjamin’s neck, showering him with kisses and gentle touches.
Bryan watched from a distance, his fists clenched as he observed the affectionate interaction between Benjamin, Eileen, and Gabri. A surge of anger washed over him.
Eileen had never felt so full after a meal like this.
“Today, while we celebrate a joyous asion for the Dury family, I’d also like to take a moment to introduce someone to you all,” Eileen said, holding a ss of wine. After the meal, before the crowd could disperse, she continued, “Standing next to me is Mr. Nash from thepany. He will be involved in the uing project. Tomorrow, please have someone show him around the vige so he can familiarize himself with the area.”
Though she was familiar with the locale, Eileen knew the locals possessed insights about the vige that she couldn’t match.
