?Chapter 578:
Fortunately, Gabri was cooperative, greeting Eileen with a smile and a hug when she was roused. She let Eileen dress her before they both went downstairs.
By the time they arrived downstairs, the doctor had already arrived. He began by inspecting the red spots on Eileen’s neck and then found simr spots on the rest of her body.
“It appears to be an allergic reaction, likely triggered by the damp climate here,” the doctor said.
Eileen responded, “I’ve lived in Wist Land before without any issues like this.”
“Wist Land isn’t near the sea, and here, there’s no air conditioning to manage the humidity and the cold of winter. That definitely contributes to the problem,” the doctor exined patiently. He then prescribed an ointment for Eileen.
Eileen said gratefully, “Thank you. We will need you to conduct check-ups for everyone in the vige over the next few days, with a particr focus on a thorough examination for Bryan.”
The doctor immediately nodded and said, “Ms. Curtis, don’t worry. Mr. Dawson’s assistant has already informed us about everything.”
Eileen epted the ointment from the doctor and applied it to the areas she could reach. Unfortunately, she couldn’t treat the itchy red spots on her back, where her hands couldn’t reach.
There were a lot of people in the vige, and it would take a couple of days to conduct physical examinations for everyone. Eileen spent time with Gabri indoors and soaked up the sun at noon, avoiding visiting Bryan. The wedding decorations everywhere dampened her spirits.
Over the past few days, Gabri had gotten used to her new surroundings. She explored in her stroller while Eileen watched her from the steps. Eileen’s white T-shirt was stained with blood from her aggravated allergy, as she couldn’t apply ointment to some areas on her back.
However, she seemed unaffected by the pain. She continued to dress and undress each day, enduring the pain of her wounds tearing open again and again.
Jacob found it hard to watch. He wanted to help but felt powerless. Eventually, upon seeing Bryan, Jacob couldn’t keep silent. “Eileen is struggling. She’s allergic and can’t apply ointment on her back because she can’t reach the spot.”

Bryan, who was carving a small puppet, paused at Jacob’s words and suggested, “She could ask other women in the vige for help.”
“She refuses to do that,” Jacob sighed. “She’d have to undress, and Gabri never leaves her side. She doesn’t want her child around strangers.”
Eileen seemed indifferent to her own difort, not letting it bother her.
“Thankfully, Gabri has settled in well here, or Eileen would have been even more stressed,” Jacob said, sitting down and ncing at the object in Bryan’s hands. “How long until it’s finished? You have your physical examination tomorrow. You could give it to Gabri yourself then.”
The puppet was modeled after a popr cartoon character. Upon learning of Gabri’s visit, Bryan had started working on the puppet tirelessly. Now, he had almostpleted it, only needing to work on the facial features.
“You give it to her for me,” Bryan said as he meticulously carved the puppet, his hands nearly bleeding.
Jacob sighed heavily, saying nothing.
