?Chapter 569:
She wanted to stay here until Bryan regained his memory, which meant she needed to bring Gabri over. But Gabri was so young…
The thought of the long journey weighed heavily on Eileen, but she resolved to return to Onnd and bring Gabri back.
The first step in the acquisition strategy was to gain a thorough understanding of the area. As Raymond and the others familiarized themselves with the small vige, Eileen arranged her flight back to Onnd.
“You don’t have a home here. Where will you stay once you bring Gabri?” Jacob asked, frowning as he watched Eileen pack. “You don’t know how long you’ll be staying here. Are you nning to have Gabri live in a hotel with you for years?”
Eileen continued packing and replied, “No, I won’t be staying in a hotel. A family in the vige just moved out, and their house is avable. I’ve asked Raymond to purchase it so I can live there with Gabri.”
Jacob was taken aback by how thoroughly Eileen had prepared. Her actions made it clear that she wasmitted to staying.
Speechless, Jacob watched as Eileen quickly finished packing and hurried to the airport with her suitcase. Jacob then made his way toward the vige.
Twenty minutester, in Zelda’s yard, Bryan stood beneath a tree, holding a wooden stick and watching the leaves fall slowly.
Despite it beingte winter, Bayside City wasn’t very cold. Only the wind caused the yellow leaves to fall.
Jacob and Josue stood at the doorway for a moment, watching Bryan before entering.
“Eileen… She’s gone back to Onnd,” Josue said softly.

Bryan stiffened. Turning his head took great effort.
His brow furrowed, and he looked at Josue and Jacob, confusion and reluctance filling his eyes.
“You realize you don’t want her to leave, right?” Josue asked, sitting down on a small stool. “Do you understand that we’ve angered Eileen too many times because of you?”
He had intended to confront Bryan directly, armed with tough words. However, when he looked up and saw Bryan—once vibrant and strong—now frail, he held back his harsh words.
Jacob sat beside Josue, cing aforting hand on his shoulder, and sighed. “Bryan, we thought the most painful ending for you would be to secretly watch Eileen live from a distance. But we didn’t expect her to search for you and finally find you here.”
“It’s all Zelda’s fault!” Josue med Zelda outright. “We told her over and over that we would handle all of Bryan’s medical expenses, that she didn’t need to worry. But instead, she posted a search for Bryan’s rtives, and Eileen found it by chance!”
Seeing Josue and Jacob’s determination to get Bryan to a major hospital for treatment, Zelda had assumed that Bryan came from a wealthy family.
She had nned to benefit by positioning herself as Bryan’s savior, which led to her posting the video in hopes of finding Bryan’s family.
“It’s toote for regrets now,” Jacob said, turning toward Bryan. “Eileen has gone to fetch Gabri. She bought a house here and ns to bring Gabri to stay with you.”
He fell silent, bowing his head.
