?Chapter 557:
But after waiting for a response, there was only silence. Bryan neither spoke nor moved toward her.
What was going on?
Wiping her tears, Eileen noticed that Bryan was still a distance away.
Only then did she see something off about him.
His limbs were stiff, and his movements were agonizingly slow. Each step seemed to take immense effort.
Was he injured?
The thought struck Eileen’s heart like a hammer blow. If it hadn’t been for her, would he have suffered such severe injuries?
It was nothing short of a miracle that he had survived the fall from the sky. Compared to death, his injuries seemed trivial.
As long as he was alive, she vowed to stay by his side.
Even if he were incurable, it wouldn’t matter; his survival was enough.
Bryan’s phone, still clutched tightly in his hand, disyed a message from Josue. He had just finished reading it when Eileen appeared before him.
A storm of emotions brewed behind his calm exterior.
He approached her slowly, his steps deliberate. A smile of pure joy tugged at Eileen’s lips as he neared, but, to her dismay, he walked right past her.
How could this be happening?

Eileen turned around, reaching out to grab Bryan’s shirt, but Josue stopped her.
“Wait, Eileen. You can’t see him right now,” Josue said.
“Why not?” Eileen’s voice rose with a mix of confusion and hurt as she faced Josue and Jacob. A sudden realization hit her. “You found him a long time ago, didn’t you? And you kept it from me?”
Josue and Jacob exchanged a brief nce before Josue spoke. “I know this is hard to grasp, but we had to do it. If we had told you sooner, it could have hurt both you and Bryan.”
Eileen knew they were Bryan’s closest friends and wouldn’t do anything to intentionally harm him.
But despite knowing about Bryan, they had let her search desperately for him. Anger bubbled inside her.
After several deep breaths to calm herself, Eileen said, “You’d better have a damn good reason for this!”
Josue paused, carefully choosing his words. “We actually found Bryan two months ago.”
Eileen narrowed her eyes at him, and he quickly continued, “He’s lost his memory. He couldn’t remember anything.”
Whenever they brought up the past, he became agitated.
