?Chapter 494:
“Do you want to ruin me? How can you do this to me? I’m your son!” Brandon cried out. In a fit of rage, he snatched an ashtray from the table and hurled it toward Ste.
In that moment, he seemed oblivious to the fact that he was attacking his own mother.
All Brandon could think about was silencing the murmurs around him and preventing his disgrace from bing public. Despite hisck of management skills and struggles with leading Apex Group, he had always been regarded as a man in everyone’s eyes. But now…
Bryan’s expression shifted. He quickly pulled Eileen to the side, and with a swift motion of his hand, deflected the flying ashtray. The ashtray crashed to the floor, chipping a corner.
But Brandon wasn’t done yet. He seized cups and hurled them indiscriminately at anyone within range. People scrambled to dodge the projectiles, but not everyone escaped unscathed.
Thanks to Bryan’s quick actions, Eileen and Ste were only sshed with lukewarm coffee.
Lydia, however, was not so lucky. Standing too close to Brandon, she took a direct hit. A cup smashed against her forehead, spilling coffee all over her and leaving a bleeding wound. Blood trickled down her face, washing away her poised appearance.
By the time “Travis” reacted to help Lydia, it was toote.
Jarred quickly reacted, summoning servants to restrain Brandon.
With veins bulging on his forehead, Brandon was pinned to the floor. His gaze burned with fury as he red at Bryan and Ste.
“You ruined me! I won’t let you have it easy!” he shouted.
Bryan’s expression hardened. “You have two choices: leave on your own, and we part ways peacefully. I’ll keep your secret. Otherwise…”
“You and Ste are both too cruel!” Lydia, clutching her bleeding forehead, finally spoke up. “You trampled on Brandon’s masculinity. Are you trying to drive him to desperation?”
Leaving the Dawson family, Brandon was aging and unable to bear children. His future seemed grim.
Eileen turned to Lydia. “Even so, Travis was nurtured with the Dawson family’s resources, and you are legally married. Without the Dawson family, don’t you still have each other? How are we pushing him to the brink? He still has options, unlike Bryan’s mother!”
Some members of the Dawson family branches observed with sympathy, recognizing the scandal as a stain on the family’s reputation. Despite everything, Brandon’s situation was pitiable.
If Lydia continued to appeal to their emotions, they might view Bryan as overly harsh and unforgiving toward his own father. Moreover, that could potentially lead them to keep Brandon in the Dawson family.
