Chapter 476

    ?Chapter 476:

Christos continued to chatter incessantly, bombarding her with questions. Eileen responded asionally, even mentioning that she had recently had a baby. However, based on the skeptical look on Christos’ face, he didn’t seem to fully believe her.

At the coffee shop, Eileen ordered three cups of coffee. As they waited for their drinks, they found seats. After settling down, Christos spoke up first.

“Eileen, it feels like fate that we’ve met. Do you feel it too?”

To Eileen, Christos seemed like just a clever, talkative young man. She replied, “I meet many people daily, converse with strangers, and often help them. Is that what you mean by ‘fate’?”

After a pause, Christos asked, “Do you know Travis?”

Eileen stared at him, taken aback.

“I know you were once the special assistant to the former president of the Apex Group, and Travis is the current president’s son. You must know him, right?” Christos narrowed his eyes and smiled at Eileen’s serious expression.

Around them, many young couples and girls were chatting and enjoying their time. But Eileen’s mind was preupied with Christos’ question about Travis.

“Don’t worry. Travis and I are close friends,” Christos reassured her, lifting his eyebrows. “The president of the Apex Group is his stepfather, whom he despises for turning against his own son.”

“Hold on a second,” Eileen interrupted, her curiosity piqued. “Are you and Travis so close that you share things like that with each other?”

Christos beamed with pride. “Absolutely. Travis and I get along really well.”

At this, Eileen was at a loss for words.

She neither liked nor disliked Christos. However, she now felt a distinct detachment. She found herself instinctively wary of anything rted to Brandon, Lydia, and Travis.

“Eileen, did I just hear you mention wanting to steal something from Travis’ stepfather?” Christos asked loudly.

The word “steal” caught the attention of nearby people.

Eileen gave him aplex look and said, “Let’s part ways here and consider we don’t know each other from now on. Goodbye.”

Their coffee arrived. Eileen grabbed hers and walked away with Benjamin.

Christos, leaving his drink behind, rushed out of the coffee shop, pleading, “Eileen, don’t be wary of me. I’m genuinely a good person, and so is Travis. Tell me what you need to steal. I’ll have Travis get it for you!”

He spoke as if Travis would obediently do whatever he suggested.

“Christos, stop. I can handle my own business. You’re just kids. Stay out of it,” Eileen said, her expression serious. “Don’t even say hello if you see me again.”

    With that, she walked away.
