?Chapter 474:
Huey couldn’t make a guess, so he decided to leave the restaurant to fix his phone first. He nned to discuss the matter with Baileeter in the evening when he got home.
At the Freguson Group office, Eileen received a concerning update from Mr. Wright and Mr. Watts. They admitted that they had been manipted by Brandon due to past mistakes they had made before their appointments as officials. As a result, they had beenpelled to assist Brandon.
“Miss Curtis, if you can resolve this issue, the Freguson Group will certainly secure the project in Linder Land,” Mr. Wright assured her.
“Mr. Wright, Mr. Watts, I’m not here to threaten anyone; that would make me no different from Brandon. Let me be clear—I’m here to oppose him. Rest assured, I will do everything I can to help,” Eileen replied.
Eileen wasn’t particrly interested in taking the Linder Land project. If it failed, Brandon would offend Mr. Wright and Mr. Watts, potentially ruining the Apex Group. At that point, she wouldn’t need to intervene.
“Brandon probably took the evidence with him,” Benjamin spected after understanding the situation. “How do you n to retrieve it? You might not even get close to Brandon.”
It was a challenging situation, but that wasn’t Eileen’s main concern right now.
Eileen thought for a moment, resting her chin on her hand. “How did Brandon manage to obtain evidence of their past mistakes?”
It had to be undeniable evidence that had left Mr. Wright and Mr. Watts with no choice but toply with Brandon’s demands.
“Well…” Benjamin was puzzled, too. “Logically, it’s been years. It could only still exist if they had conspired with someone, and that person still has the evidence. Otherwise, any minor evidence would have been discarded by now.”
It was possible they themselves still had the evidence, but it was unlikely they would hand it over to Brandon.

In other words, they had made mistakes and conspired with the wrong person, leaving evidence in someone else’s hands.
“Forget it,” Eileen decided, dismissing the thought. “I don’t have time to dwell on this. Help me find out who Lydia usually meets.”
Benjamin suddenly recalled something. “A while back, I heard some gossip about Lydia visiting a KTVte at night, and some photos were leaked, but they were quickly suppressed.”
“KTV?” Eileen’s instincts told her it couldn’t be Lydia. She knew Brandon well. Could Brandon really be okay with his wife visiting a KTV for entertainment?
Still, Eileen wasn’t one to dismiss any leads. “Have someone keep tabs on Lydia,” she said.
“I recall the report mentioned Lydia frequents that KTV on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Today is Thursday. Maybe we should try our luck there?” Benjamin suggested, proposing they stake out the KTV rather than just follow Lydia.
Images of lively parties shed through Eileen’s mind, shing with the quieter image of her baby and Bryan. This made her hesitate and feel a bit guilty.
