?Chapter 429:
When Z and the bearded man arrived at the hotel, she was already aware that it was part of the Freguson family’s chain. Her instincts screamed at her to avoid the ce, but the bearded man was insistent on checking out one of their themed rooms.
Clinging to the hope that they wouldn’t be recognized, Z reluctantly agreed. As soon as they entered, the bearded man shoved her onto the bed and pped her twice.
“The person you pointed out in the restaurant was Ms. Curtis from Freguson Group. Are you trying to make an enemy of her?” he sneered.
In his eyes, choosing Z wasn’t about her surpassing Eileen in looks, but rather his recognition of Eileen’s powerful status, which made him cautious of crossing her.
A wave of dread washed over Z. Had the bearded man informed Eileen? Or had he been sent by Eileen and Kian to trap her?
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
Back at the vi, Eileen and Bryan were spending time with Gabri in the living room when a loud knock echoed through the quiet house. The sudden noise startled Gabri, making her crawl quickly toward Eileen.
Eileen immediately scooped her up, and Ruby, noticing the distress, rushed over to protect them. They all turned their attention to the door.
Bryan’s face grew serious as he stood and said, “Take Gabri upstairs. I’ll check who it is.”
“Hurry,” Ruby urged, noticing Gabri’s anxiety. She quickly guided Eileen toward the stairs.
“Mom, take Gabri upstairs. I’ll stay to find out what’s going on.” Eileen suspected it might be Z, especially since the scandal had just erupted online. Z was sharp and would have quickly figured out Eileen’s involvement, especially since Eileen hadn’t tried to hide it.

Once Ruby escorted Gabri upstairs, Eileen moved toward the hallway. Bryan had already opened the door to reveal Z, who had been in the midst of knocking. When she saw Bryan, her hand froze mid-air.
After a tense moment, Z pulled her hand back, avoided Bryan’s gaze, and seemed ready to flee.
However, upon spotting Eileen, Z’sposure quickly crumbled.
“It was you, wasn’t it? Why would you do this? Why!?” Z demanded.
“Why would I do this?” Eileen shot back sharply. “Do you need me to remind you of your actions toward me?”
Z, struggling to find the right words, vehemently denied the usations. “I’ve done nothing to you. You’re just jealous because I manage Apex Group and because Bryan’s parents acknowledge my worth!”
