Chapter 374

    ?Chapter 374:

Ruby was concerned about Gabri, assuming Milford was at home caring for her, so she called him to check.

“Yes, he’s taking good care of her while you’re away. He’s also eager for you toe back so he can exin something to you properly,” Eileen said. She suspected that even if Ruby returned, Bryan would be reluctant to hand Gabri over.

“He’s a man and has never done this kind of thing before. I’m worried he won’t be able to look after her well. I can’t stay at Bailee’s anymore. I’lle back as soon as possible to help with the baby.”

After a little more conversation, Ruby ended the video call.

Turning around, Eileen saw that Bryan had not only washed the dishes downstairs, but he had also showered. Climbing into bed, he held their daughter in his arms and then reached out for Eileen.

Eileen set her phone aside andy down next to Bryan with her head on his chest, and his arm holding her tightly.

“The teething biscuit was a bit of a disaster; it crumbled,” Bryan said, sounding frustrated. “I can’t give it to Gabri.”

“Then just buy some,” Eileen suggested, gently holding Gabri’s small hand. She had missed her after a day apart.

Gabri wiggled, nestling into Bryan’s body, her little face turning towards Eileen.

“The ones you buy are full of additives; it’s safer if I make them myself! I’ll try again tomorrow,” Bryan said as he kissed Eileen’s forehead and squeezed her hand. Then he leaned in and asked her a very serious question. “Where would be the most suitable ce for us tonight?”

Eileen tensed and gave Bryan a puzzled look. Weren’t they already lying in bed? Surely, they weren’t considering the garden outside, were they?

“I’m worried about disturbing Gabri,” Bryan exined earnestly. “And since she’s just a baby, it wouldn’t be appropriate to be near her when we—”

“What does she understand?” Eileen shielded Gabri’s chubby little body with her hand, ensuring she didn’t roll off the bed.

Bryan furrowed his brows, asking, “Are you sure?”

Eileen hesitated for a moment. She lowered her head to look at Gabri, who was staring back with wide-open eyes. Eileen was certain Gabri didn’t grasp anything going on around her. Even if she were to wake up, she wouldn’t understand what was happening.

When Eileen recalled how Bryan had passionately kissed her the previous night with Gabri watching, making gentle cooing sounds with wide eyes, she felt a bit embarrassed.

“She’s sleepy. Go prepare some form,” Eileen suggested, noticing Gabri’s sounds that indicated she was hungry.
