Chapter 363

    ?Chapter 363:

“But I remember you saying quite clearly that you weren’t fond of Gabri.” Eileen’s gaze lifted slightly, capturing his embarrassed expression in her eyes for a fleeting moment.

“I’ll exin,” Bryan said earnestly. “I had a dream where you gave birth to a baby who wasn’t very attractive. Because your baby didn’t look as adorable as Gabri, you were always sad and crying.”

This revtion took Eileen aback, but for the first time, she understood the pressure parents faced whenparing their children’s appearances to others.

It seemed that parents were constantly inpetition over their children’s looks, academic achievements, and talents.

“Why didn’t I see this before? Gabri resembles you so much.”

    “It’s that you’re her mother.”

Bryan leaned back on the bed, propping his head up with one hand, and gently poked Gabri’s fist with his injured left hand.

Gabri stirred slightly, her tiny fingers curling around Bryan’s finger. Her red, puckered lips quivered before she fell back asleep. A broad smile spread across Bryan’s face. He nced up at Eileen, his eyes sparkling with hope. “Even though we have a lot ahead of us, our journey as a family of three has just begun.”

Eileen’s heart skipped a beat. Last night had been their first night together as a family. Indeed, a new chapter had just started.

She suddenly lowered her head and ced her hand on her belly. “My mother isn’t around these days. You can stay here temporarily to help with meals, but it’s toote for breakfast this morning. I have an early meeting and need to get going now.”

The pasta fromst night had been so unappetizing.

“Go then,” Bryan said without lifting his head, his gaze still fixed on the baby girl. “I’ll look after her.”

Eileen was at a loss for words.

Hungry and in a rush, she got up, washed her face, and changed into fresh clothes. As she descended to the first floor, Milford turned toward her, a look of concern on his face.

“Eileen, Ipletely forgot that Gabri was here. I didn’t mean to let Bryan in.”

When Milford let Bryan in, he suddenly remembered that Gabri was in the room with Eileen.

He considered going upstairs to check on them but hesitated, worried he might inadvertently intrude on their privacy.

As a result, he had a restless night, troubled by the thought of possibly causing trouble for Eileen.
