Chapter 359

    ?Chapter 359:

Bryan had just finished showering. He had washed his hair against the doctor’s advice since Eileen wasn’t around.

As he read the message, he froze for a moment, wondering if the shower had somehow muddled his mind. Once he verified the news, he quickly grabbed his coat and headed downstairs.

The living room was brightly lit. Kylie was tutoring Josue while a collection of women’s photosy on the coffee table.

“Bryan, where are you rushing off to at this hour?” Kylie asked as she saw Bryan hurriedly descending the stairs.

Pausing briefly, Bryan nodded slightly and said, “I have to step out to take care of something.”

“Remember, you’re still recovering. Don’t stay out too long. Come back soon,” she admonished. Then she noticed Josue putting on his coat, ready to follow.

“Mom, I’m worried about him. I’ll go with him,” Josue said.

Kylie sternly pushed him back onto the sofa. “If you can’t pick a woman as your future wife, don’t even think about leaving this house!”

Bryan was used to their exchanges over the past few days. He didn’t want to disrupt them and quickly left the house.

He made his way to Eileen’s home effortlessly. Milford opened the door and directed him to the first room on the left on the third floor—Eileen’s room.

The living room was dimly lit. Bryan’s only focus was reaching Eileen upstairs. He didn’t notice the many baby items scattered around.

Quietly, he ascended the stairs and reached the first room at the corner of the third floor. The door was slightly ajar, and a soft light glowed from within.

Gabri had only taken a short nap that afternoon and had been a bit fussy after dinner.

Eileen had the nightmp on, prepared a bottle of form, and was watching Gabri drink it when she heard a noise at the door.

She paused, got up, and looked outside.

Though the figure was indistinct, she recognized Bryan immediately.

ncing at Gabri in the baby cot, she frowned and went to the door.

Before she could react, Bryan strode in and pressed her against the wall.

The scent of his body wash permeated the air. He lifted Eileen’s hands above her head, and she felt his damp hair.

“Did you just take a shower?” she asked sharply. “It took a lot of effort to stop your wound from bleeding. Who told you it was okay to shower?”

Bryan, close against her, replied in a maic voice, “Why are you mad at me? Or is it because you can’t get over it and have been avoiding me these past few days?” He sidestepped her question, expressing his frustration instead.
