?Chapter 350:
Breaking free from Bryan’s arms, Eileen adjusted her blouse and moved to sit in a chair. She shot a serious look Bryan’s way.
“You seem to like Gabri. You also expressed your desire to have a daughter, didn’t you?”
It was obvious to Bryan that Eileen was quite fond of Gabri.
“When did I mention that?” Bryan turned away, trying to avoid her question. He swayed his legs back and forth at the edge of the bed, then grabbed the chair Eileen had sat on and swiftly pulled her to himself.
She immediately fell into his embrace with the pull. He held the chair firmly with his legs.
“You’ve got the wrong end of the stick,” he said.
“Oh,e off it!” Eileen red at him, clearly frustrated that he was avoiding the topic. She pressed her hands against his chest and grabbed his cor.
“Tell me honestly, do you like Gabri?”
“Not really,” Bryan blurted out.
Eileen asked disappointedly, “Why do you look at her pictures and videos every day?”
She had thought that he was really fond of Gabri. She was scared his love for her would dissipate if he found out that Gabri was, in fact, his daughter.
Your next favorite is on g?lnσν????s.??o??
“You stare at her photos and videos every now and then, don’t you?”
Bryan didn’t resist her grip on his cor. Instead, he crouched his back, with his right hand resting on the edge of the bed, revealing his prominent veins.
Eileen was dumbfounded. She let go of his cor and pushed him, causing him to fall onto the bed.
Bryan was surprised at her action. He sat up, but she had already stood up from the chair, her face gloomy.
Bryan hurried after her and hugged her from behind. He buried his head in her neck as he said, “You could have sprained my waist, you know.”
The love she had for Josue’s goddaughter was extreme, he thought. And she was clearly upset because he said he wasn’t a fan of that little girl.
He wasn’t bothered by her gloomy face. He believed she’d get over it in no time. He preferred it to having a less attractive baby girl in the future.
“Is that so?” Slightly tilting her head towards him, she gazed at him, pitying him for being so blind to the truth before him. How could he feel no affection towards his own daughter?
She tried so hard to hold back the anger that welled up inside her.
Bryan noticed her sudden lividness. He turned her to face him, then gently pushed her back toward the window and kissed her deeply.
“You don’t believe me? You can give it a try, and my waist would prove it,” he whispered softly into her ear, gently brushing his lips against hers.
His eyes roamed with desire as he uttered flirtatious words.
What did he mean by asking her to give it a try?
“Don’t mess around. We’re in the hospital,” Eileen said, tilting her face away from him.
“So I just need to wait until I leave the hospital?” He moved his hand to tuck her hair behind her ears, ing closer to her as he whispered passionately,
“I need you.”
He desired her so much that a furrow appeared between his brows, showing his impatience.
Bryan wore a white and blue hospital gown. The injury on his head left a portion of his scalp exposed. While not as dashing as before, he still exuded a certain allure.
Eileen felt uncontrobly attracted to him.
“We cannot talk about this until you leave here first,” she said, looking away to hide the desire in her eyes. Her heart pounded rapidly.
Bryan couldn’t help but notice, but he only smiled and let her go.
“I’ll go meet the doctor to discuss my discharge from here as soon as possible,” he said.
He hurried out of the ward before Eileen could reply.
She began to smile at his words, which caused the tension she had felt to dissipate. After that, she grew cold again and quietly returned to her seat to look through Gabri’s photos.
She searched for the chat group Josue had created but couldn’t find it.
She thought he must have dissolved the chat group, so she went through her photo gallery instead.
About ten minutester, she received a call from Josue.
“Why would Bryan ask me not to bring Gabri to work?”
Bryan had not returned from meeting with the doctor. She thought he must have called Josue outside the ward. “What did he say?”
“With a child in your care, work progress would be slow. Get rid of that kid because I’ll be staying at your residence and will need enough rest to recuperate. The kid would be a bother.” Josue went back to his cynical tone. “My goodness! How could his daughter be annoying? He regards her as noisy? Unbelievable. He pretended to like Gabri just to please you, seeing how much you love her.”
Eileen stood frozen at this revtion. She couldn’t find a reply for Josue.
“There must be a way to make him like Gabri. We have to find a way before he knows he’s the father.”
“Otherwise…” Josue believed that Bryan’s mindset needed to shift; Bryan needed to ept Gabri first. However, Josue was happy that he had the opportunity to show off Gabri in front of Bryan, at least for a few more days. He secretly hoped Bryan wouldn’t get too close to the little girl, so he could end up being the closest to her in the future.
Eileen recalled when she had looked through Gabri’s pictures with Bryan. She was so interested in the photos that it didn’t ur to her to look at his expression and try to decipher if he truly liked Gabri or was just putting on a show then. She had presumed he harbored feelings for Gabri and was prepared to allow him to step into the role of fatherhood in the baby girl’s life, ensuring that he could spend quality time with her once he was discharged. But now…
“Don’t worry, let’s talk about it after he leaves the hospital. That way, we can ascertain how he really feels about her,” Eileen said, finding it difficult to figure out. Perhaps Bryan would grow fond of Gabri once he learned she was his daughter.
Josue had assured Bryan that Gabri would be sent away before Bryan moved into ce.
Bryan walked back in a few minutester with a disappointed expression. “The doctor said I need at least three more days to be fit for discharge.”
Eileen stayed back and took care of him for three more days. After the third day, the doctor emphasized the need for carefulness and proper care of the wound to avoid any further bleeding, as healing could be slow.
Josue had to pick them up, with Gabrifortably seated in the back seat. She was excited to see Eileen and kicked her legs into the air.
Eileen rushed to y with Gabri as soon as she sat in the car. She pinched her face softly, and Gabri tightly held onto her fingers. From the rearview mirror, Bryan could see how much Eileen liked Gabri. He frowned in silence.
Upon arriving at Josue’s ce, Eileen picked up the baby girl and got out of the car first.
“I thought we agreed on sending the child away?” Bryan questioned Josue just as he was about to leave the car.
Josue noticed the disgust written on Bryan’s face. “Yes, I’ll do that soon. I have to help her mother recently. She has a lot to deal with these days. I’ll just help her with babysitting the baby and send the girl back to her.”
Josue managed to convince Bryan. He took luggage out of the car and hurriedly left.
At home, he and Eileen spent time ying with Gabri. The afternoon seemed to pass by so quickly.
When it was time for dinner, Bryan went downstairs and discovered that Gabri was still in the house. She giggled at him as saliva flowed from the corner of her mouth.
Instead of feeling irritated, he surprisingly found this endearing. “She will be sent back to her mother after dinner,” Josue said. He felt Bryan was ufortable with the baby’s presence.
“Tell me the truth, do you want me to send Gabri away because you’re jealous of me?”
Bryan sneered. He was about to voice his dislike for the baby girl.
Just then, Gabri suddenly made a sound that seemed like she was unhappy.
After some time, Bryan changed his mind. “I’ll not condescend to your level of childishness. You are immature.”
“Okay, let’s go ahead and eat then,” Josue guided Eileen and Gabri to the dining room for dinner.
Eileen had no appetite for food. She was consumed with the desire to talk to Bryan. She couldn’t fathom the sudden shift in his attitude.
She handed Gabri to Josue and went to clear the table after they had finished eating.
After clearing the table, she led Bryan to the room Josue had reserved especially for him on the third floor.
The room suited his taste. It was ravishing and adorned with simple decorations, with moonlight flooding into the room from every corner.
Upon Eileen guiding him into the bedroom, Bryan enveloped her waist from behind and leaned in to softly kiss her ear.
“Eileen, are you rushing somewhere?”
She had hurried him to go upstairs after dinner. This made him both surprised and excited. When she made to speak, he knew she was about to speak against her desires.
Without giving her space to speak, he leaned forward and kissed her lips.
He moved forward and pressed his lips against hers. Locked in each other’s arms, they swirled a few times before gentlyying her on the bed.
He knelt before her, his hand serving as a pillow for her head, and kissed her passionately. She held his hand and lifted it away from her head.
He tried to control his burning desires. Putting her steady on the bed, heid beside her and yed with her slender fingers.
“Something’s been bothering me while I was working this afternoon,” Bryan said.
Desire still flickered in Eileen’s eyes as she asked,
“What is the matter?”
“You and your family deserve a proper exnation from me,” he said, kissing her hand. He was aware that Ruby wasn’t happy with him because of the hurt he had caused Eileen.
The wedding that never happened was the greatest pain in their lives. Bryan and Eileen both regretted it. Ruby also shared in this pain.
By regrly sending him support through Bailee or Josue while he was in the hospital, Ruby demonstrated her willingness to ept Eileen and Bryan rekindling their rtionship.
He believed he also needed to make his stance clear.
Eileen turned to face him and ced her hand around his firm waist. “Alright. I’ll prepare my mother mentally before you go visit her. I’ll tell you when it’s best to go.”
“Alright,” he replied with his deep baritone voice and drew closer to kiss her again. Then he paused and sought her consent. “Can we spend the night together?”
Eileen could visibly see how much he longed to be with her, yet she said, “No. Let’s revisit this after you see my mother.”
Bryan sadly asked as he held her hand, “Do I have a choice?”
He yed with her fingers, not knowing if he could bring himself to let go of her tonight.
“Not at all,” Eileen said firmly, quickly withdrawing her hand.
“What was the surprise you promised to share with me once I left the hospital?” Bryan changed the topic to take his mind off her withdrawal.
