''This boy...'' Audrey was currently confused while at the same time concerned. ''Why is he crying?....Why does he have such a sorrowful look even though he''s smiling? And his eyes....'' When she heard his answer, she knew that she had just touched an emotional topic. His sorrowful smile just broke her heart. She clenched her hands tightly. ''Why do they show so much suffering....'' Question piled up in her mind. Then suddenly, and feeling came over her. She leaned over and held the crying boy in her arms whose was now covering his eyes to not show his tears.


    "It''s okay.....it''s okay....." She gently patted him on the back. "I don''t know what happened to you but please don''t cry."


    Denear fell silent. He stopped crying but still kept his head down and asked.


    "Teacher?"


    "Yes?" She replied.


    "Can I....."He paused for a few seconds and look up to meet her eyes. "....call you big sister?"


    She was momentarily shocked but broke into a bright smile. "Of course....."


    Denear stood up and gazed at the setting sun and said,


    "Thank you"


    His facial expression had gone back to it''s cold look, however, Audrey could still feel the sincerity of his words and the happiness he felt at that very moment.


    They both sat on a rock, just watching the sunset and disappear over the city. They just watched it in silence and when the lights in the city started to pop out one by one to prepare for the night, it created a breath taking scene. Only then did Audrey break the silence.


    Audrey: "What do you think of this world? Isn''t it just beautiful..."


    Denear''s reply kinda shocked Audrey for she was not expecting it.


    Denear: "I do............but at the same time, I also think it''s quite ugly....."


    Audrey: "What makes you say that?"


    Denear looked at the bright city and also looked at the distance which could only become darker and darker as he looked. He answered,


    If I were an eagle


    I''d soar through the sky


    Aiming to be the top


    If I were a lion


    I roar for the whole world to tell them what I think


    If I was a rhino


    I''d carve my own path


    I''d break down anything in my way


    But once I''ve already achieve my goal


    I then start to ask myself


    What''s the point?


    Through my efforts


    The world won''t change


    People won''t change their way of life


    Nor will they change their unrighteous deeds


    No matter how many people you save


    No matter how happy you become


    There''ll always be death in the end


    There''ll always be sadness that follows


    No matter how long a diamond shines


    It would someday have to fade


    No matter how good a sword is


    It would someday have to rust and be replaced


    The beauty you see


    Is only just temporary


    So in the end, I can only ask again...
