    Lulu nodded earnestly. “If he hadn’t saved you, I wouldn’t have been able to see you again.”

    She did not want Lulu to know about those horrifying experiences.

    found it hard to imagine what kind of danger Nicole had encountered.

    Lulu nodded. “I understand, but I still want to stand by his side with confidence.”
