    While they were talking in the living room, Nicole’s cell phone rang.


    She picked it up to see that it was Martin, prompting her to tap the icon. ’ Are you done there, Martin?”


    ‘I’m done. Sorry, Nicole. I was going to pick you up earlier, but something unexpected happened and I


    didn’t make it. So was it Mr. Johnston who drove you home?” Martin apologized, feeling embarrassed.


    “Yes, I knew that you must have been tied up with something when you didn’t show up. Don’t worry


    about it.” Nicole reassured him.

    “Very good. I have reserved a table for you at The Herald,” Martin said. “I’ll be seeing you there at 4:30.


    Is that okay?”


    Martin had already made all the arrangements, as he wanted to give Nicole a warm reception.

    “Okay.” Nicole hung up and looked at Mrs. Wace Sr. “Grandma, I won’t be home for dinner. My friend


    is hosting me and I must go.”

    “Nicole, I was just about to tell you that I have also prepared a dinner reception for the three of US


    tonight. What did Martin say on the phone?” Harvey looked at Nicole after hearing what she had just


    said to Martin.


    “Martin told me a long while ago that he would arrange a dinner reception for when I came home. We


    have agreed to meet at 4:30 today.” Nicole looked at Harvey.
