During WWII, pilots often passed out due the high g forces causing blood to rush to their legs. If you didn''t have any legs, you could avoid this problem entirely.

    This is just objectively speaking, but a pilot that doesn''t randomly pass out is significantly more desirable that one that does randomly pass out.
