?Chapter 1691:
Rising from her seat, Dani strode to the foot of the staircase, catching sight of Hamilton clutching the railing, his hands trembling and his body barely holding together.
Watching him, Dani found herself torn between contempt and a fleeting sense of pity for the pathetic man.
Hamilton had always cherished children and harbored a quiet guilt toward Cedric. Yet, bound by the McCoy family’s name, he’d forced himself to swallow every indignity and grievance the family had dealt him.
Deep down, he’d long suspected who had orchestrated those past events. But his father had made silence a necessity, so he had buried his pride and endured.
Dani watched him for a moment, then spoke with unexpected gentleness. “Let me give you the fairness the McCoy family never granted you.”
Her words hit him like a thunderp. Hamilton’s trembling grew violent, his shoulders quaking as if battered by a storm.
The dam inside him broke, unleashing a torrent of emotions he’d guarded for years.<fn7e49> Find the newest release on FιndNovel</fn7e49>
He stared at Dani, a single tear tracing down his weathered cheek.
This was what the McCoy family owed him and his unborn grandchild. Justice had finally arrived, achinglyte, but atst, it was here.
Brad and Ethan froze in ce.
Over the years, they had their suspicions, but since it didn’t affect them, they had chosen to ignore it. After all, they were benefiting from it, so why dig into it? They kept using their father’s final wishes as an excuse to avoid facing the ugly truth.
They acted like innocent bystanders, yet they made sure to enjoy every benefit the McCoy family offered.
Brad looked like he was about to explode, his face tight with indignation, but then he stopped himself. His shoulders sank slightly.
He looked at Dani and said, “Hey, maybe it’s time to move on. Wouldn’t it be nicer if we all just lived peacefully?”

Dani let out a smallugh and nodded.
Thinking she was agreeing, Brad grinned. “We’re all family here. No need to keep grudges, right? You’ve always been the kind and understanding one, Dani.”
But to his shock, Dani said, “If you can bring back the child I lost, then I’ll forgive everything.”
Brad’s smile evaporated in an instant. “But that child is already gone. How are we supposed to do that? Isn’t that asking too much from us?”
Dani turned and began climbing the stairs. “Then don’t expect this to end anytime soon.”
Brad watched her go,pletely thrown, then turned to Hamilton with a helpless look. “So what now? Are we expected to pay with our lives for something that happened ages ago? We didn’t even do anything. If anyone’s responsible, it’s Josh and Dad. What does this have to do with us? Hamilton, you’re her father-inw. Talk to her. If you don’t step in, Dani’s going to take us all down with her.”
Hamilton moved to the side and said, “She told me the younger ones won’t be dragged into this. Don’t worry.”
“That’s easy for you to say. I’ve lost all of my money. Didn’t you see that?” Brad got irritated.
Ethan chimed in, equally frustrated. “Exactly! Our money is in Jules’ hands now. Do you think that’s fair? If Dad were alive, he’d never let this happen.”
