?Chapter 1563:
At first, Hamilton truly believed Josh was reckless enough to harm Cedric. His nerves were still on edge, unable to fully shake off that worry.
After all, Cedric was his own flesh and blood, a son he was proud of, someone who had even caught the attention of the princess. But as it turned out, his concern had been overblown.
Josh had thrown everything he had at them, but it still wasn’t enough. Dani’s effortless handling of the situation made it clear Josh was outmatched.
Hamilton finally rxed. Since Dani’s arrival, he had been on edge. Now, for the first time, satisfaction washed over him.
Hamilton even chuckled to himself. Josh’s men had beenpletely outssed by his son and Dani, and he couldn’t help but savor the moment. Niks and Damon didn’t need to see Hamilton’s face to sense his satisfaction. Just the way he stood, the tilt of his shoulders… it all gave him away.
Hamilton, phone still in hand and radiating confidence, said, “This is out of my league, Josh. You know as well as I do that Dani does whatever she wants. No one tells her what to do, not even me.”
Josh’s patience snapped. “So you’re refusing to get involved? Fine! If that’s how you want to y it, don’t me me for what happens next!”
With a careless shrug, Hamilton agreed. “By all means, go ahead and teach her a real lesson. She probably deserves a proper thrashing anyway.”
Josh gave an irritated huff, ready to end the call. But Hamilton couldn’t resist twisting the knife a little further.
“Look, Josh, since we’re family, I’ll give you some friendly advice—Dani isn’t bluffing. When she says you’ve got one hour, she means it. If you don’t send people to clean her ce, she will burn your home down. And when it happens, you can’t say I didn’t warn you.”
So furious he could barely form words, Josh mmed the phone down, ending the call with a sharp click.

A rare grin tugged at Hamilton’s lips, smoothing out the lines of his face. He tucked his phone away and finally turned around, feeling lighter than he had in years.
Without his noticing, Dani had reappeared, this time with Cedric and Carol in tow, making their way down the stairs.<fn2a79> N?w ?ovel chapt?rs are published on find?novel</fn2a79>
All eyes were on Hamilton. Or rather, on the smug smile on his face.
Instantly, Hamilton stiffened, caught off guard. Recovering with a grumble, he snapped, “What are you all staring at?”
Without waiting for an answer, he crossed the room, grabbed the nearest mug of instant coffee, and took a gulp.
A grimace twisted his face at the bitter taste. “Seriously, Dani? You’re supposed to be rolling in money, and you drink this swill? Isn’t that a little embarrassing?”
Noticing his foul mood, Dani let out a weary sigh and nced at Carol. “Would you mind brewing Mr. McCoy a decent cup?”
“Save yourself the trouble,” Hamilton said, waving her off as he turned to leave. Just then, his eyesnded on a patch of red on Cedric’s neck.
“Hey, what happened there?” Hamilton lifted his hand and directed Cedric’s attention to the pale mark resting just above his corbone.
Cedric reached up, surprised to find a tender spot. He had hardly even noticed the mark.
Hamilton scoffed, his annoyance growing as he nced at Dani, unscathed, and then at Cedric. “Look at that. Danies out without a scratch, and you’re the one who ends up hurt. What were you even doing—ying the hero?”
