Chapter 1531

    ?Chapter 1531:

Joseph looked ready to explode. “All right, have it your way! You’ll regret this!” His attention snapped to Cedric, and his tone shifted to something almost deferential.

“Mr. Phillips, your recent sesses have greatly impressed your father. He wants you back with the McCoys. Consider this carefully. You’re not foolish enough to side with a woman who can’t be predicted over a group with true power behind it.”

With those parting words, Joseph spun around, pausing at the door only long enough to add, “Ms. Harper, I hope you don’t regret this.” Every syblended with hard finality.

Carol’s temper red, and she retorted, “You talk big for someone on shaky ground! Regret? We’ll see who’s left regretting this when all is said and done!”

Both Niks and Damon rushed to catch up with Joseph before things got worse.

Positioning themselves on either side of him, they tried to smooth things over.

“Joseph, don’t let this get to you. They’re neers here in Oiscoll—they just don’t understand how things work yet. How about we both head back with you and keep the peace? There’s no need to turn this into something bigger.”

Meanwhile, Hamilton lounged at home, fully expecting Dani toe bowing at his doorstep. Sure, herpany had climbed to the very top of the global rankings, but how solid was that sess, really? After all, Dani had only reached such heights with Cedric’s backing.

Hamilton was absolutely thrilled about the turn of events. Nothing brought him more satisfaction than having a son as impressive as Cedric.

He had recently been on the phone with the king of Loglil, who couldn’t stop singing Cedric’s praises and called him a one-in-a-million talent. During their conversation, the king even floated the idea of an official dinner with Hamilton and Cedric. He went so far as to suggest that if Dani refused to give up any property, Cedric should simply walk away—there would always be a ce for him in Loglil to shine.

Such recognition was nothing short of extraordinary. It was the kind of acknowledgment that spoke volumes.

Today, Hamilton had called Dani over, determined to convince her to divorce Cedric so he could pursue a future with the princess. He had even arranged a substantialpensation package, intending to make Dani’s decision easier.

As the front door of the vi swung open, Hamilton caught the sound but didn’t bother to nce up. With barely contained pride, he said, “Dani, surely by now you’ve seen just what my son is capable of?”

    ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????? g???????ν?????????????

Niks and Damon were ready to step inside. But Hamilton’s self-important tone brought them up short, leaving them rooted in the doorway. It couldn’t have been more obvious—Hamilton’s praise was reserved for someone else entirely.

Their eyes met, a silent look of difort passing between them. Hamilton was entirely swept up in the wave of outside admiration that hade Cedric’s way in recent days. All around him, people credited Cedric’s sess to the McCoy blood. Hamilton epted this narrative without question, clinging to it as absolute truth.

Soaking up everypliment, he continued his one-sided address, not once looking to the door.

“Dani, let me be clear about why you’re here. You and Cedric are a mismatch. His abilities are meant for greater things. It’s time for you to end this marriage. Cedric will walk away empty-handed. Everything he’s earned will stay with you. On top of that, I’m offering this check as a parting gift. Take it and leave Oiscoll for good.”
