Chapter 1522

    ?Chapter 1522:

Dani looked up, calm and steady.

“Is Niks truly still part of your family?”

Hamilton opened his mouth to respond, but she was already holding up her phone.

“Niks called me. He asked for help. And if I recall, you disowned him publicly not long ago, so what kind of im do you really have over him now?”

    Hamilton’s jaw tightened.

“Fine. I won’t argue about Niks. Let’s talk about Cedric. What will it take for you to leave him? Name your price.”

Unfazed, Dani replied, “There’s no price. I’m not interested.”

Hamilton’s re darkened. “So now you’re against me? You really want to start a fight? If you keep pushing, don’t expect a happy ending.”

Dani didn’t even look his way.

“Is that so? Then I guess we’ll both find out.”

    Hamilton’s expression turned to ice.

“Ungrateful, aren’t you? I held back before. Let you grow your business right under my nose. But I’ve had enough. Now I’ll show you what real power looks like. I’ll remind you who controls Oiscoll.”

    Dani didn’t even blink.

“Suit yourself,” she said, her voice ice-cold.

Once Hamilton had left, Niks slowly came to, blinking against the harsh light overhead.

A wave of regret washed over him as he turned to Dani. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to drag you into all this.”

    Carol gave a littleugh.

“Let’s eat! It seems the princess isn’t interested in you. Is it about your appearance?”

Annoyance simmered in Niks as they exited the room. He leaned toward Carol, his tone barely above a whisper.

“Are you sure everything’s really fine?”

Carol gave him a pat on the back.

“Rx. There’s nothing to worry about. Let’s go.”

Dani had pointed out—when everything’s hidden behindyers of secrecy, sometimes the only way to expose the truth was by pushing your opponent to make a move. And honestly, if Dani was wary of Hamilton, he wouldn’t be so eager to eliminate her.

In truth, Hamilton was scared of Dani.

Still, Carol kept these thoughts to herself rather than exining it all to Niks. She’d rather wait and see how things yed out.

Meanwhile, Hamilton, seething with anger, wasted no time. He called for a board meeting, determined to use economic pressure to back Dani into a corner.

Inside the boardroom, the directors wasted no time airing their opinions.

“We should’ve taken care of Dani ages ago. Maybe then she’d respect the weight of McCoy Group!”
