Chapter 1506

    ?Chapter 1506:

She asked him about it, but Cedric insisted he was fine.

As Dani was preparing to sleep, Cedric edged nearer and asked, “Don’t you care about me?”

Dani sat cross-legged on the bed’s edge, watching Cedric on the soft cushion, andughed. “What are you talking about?”

Once she grasped the situation, Dani found it amusing.

“It’s just some princess from Loglil, right? I’ve seen her photo—she’s nothing special.”

Dani had always been confident in her own allure. She had never been outshined in beauty.

“Royal connections aside, I’ve earned everything myself. I believe my charm outshines any princess leaning on her lineage. She’s no real threat, so I don’t see why I should feel jealous.”

When Dani locked eyes with someone, her sincerity was unmistakable.

Cedric met her gaze, catching the unusual brightness in her eyes.

Dani continued, “But that princess has great taste—she’s noticed you. I saw the messages in the chat group. Damon mentioned Hamilton wanted one of his five sons to marry her, but the princess wasn’t impressed.”

Dani leaned in, nting a gentle kiss on Cedric’s forehead.

    Instinctively, Cedric closed his eyes.

Her kiss trailed from his forehead down to his sharp nose, her softughter mingling with the gesture before she finally pressed her lips to his.

The tender moment cast a romantic glow over the room.

Dani smiled warmly, teasing, “Looks like my husband is a bit needy.”

The following morning, Hamilton secured a private audience with the princess of Loglil.

She inclined her head, peering over Hamilton’s shoulder with expectation—only to find herself staring at empty space. Her face tightened with dismay.

“Didn’t you promise to bring Cedric here to make amends? Where is he?”

Hamilton let out a lowugh, amused by the princess’s evident concern.

“He intended to be here, truly. When he handed back the emblem, he had no idea it belonged to royalty. Once he discovered who you were, he was mortified and insisted on offering his regrets in person. Unfortunately, an emergency arose at the firm just as he was on his way. He had no choice but to turn back. He asked me to extend his sincerest apologies, and he hopes to meet you soon to apologize.”

    The princess lowered her head.

She reflected on her two encounters with Cedric.

The first had taken ce at McCoy Restaurant. She was already weary of the McCoy family, but a fleeting glimpse of Cedric that day captivated her. There was something mesmerizing about his quiet confidence, a presence that left an impression she couldn’t shake.

Their second encounter was at the opening ceremony.

This time, they stood much closer. She saw his eyes, and in that instant, felt lost in them.
