?Chapter 1495:
Niks blinked in disbelief.
“Didn’t she want this cake? Why is she still mad?”
Dani switched off the TV and rose to her feet.
“She didn’t like dinner tonight and is sulking, insisting on eating from that busy night market on Main Road.”
Niks nced at the clock.
“It’s still early. That market isn’t open yet.”
Dani shook her head slightly.
“I don’t know, maybe she had a sudden craving. She’ll get over it. Come on, let’s eat.”
Niks hurried through a few bites, then grabbed the umbre and headed out to drive.
The night market was a bit of a drive, but Carol adored it—and often made the trip herself just to grab a bite.
Cedric looked confused.
“She wants it that bad? Doesn’t that ce do delivery? Why not just call them instead of driving there?”
Dani kept eating, her tone even.
“Niks knows I’m afraid of it. She’d never intended to keep it from Cedric.”
Cedric’s fork hit the te with a loud tter.
“What did you just say?”
Cedric’s face darkened into a stormy scowl.

Dani remainedposed, calmly serving Cedric’s favorite food as if nothing had happened.
Cedric’s expression twisted into something vicious.
“We need to kill Niks!”
The moment Cedric spoke, Carol’s door mmed open with a bang, fury zing across her face.
Carol stomped into the room.
“Yes! Our backyard’s big enough to nt Niks six feet under!”
Just as Carol’s voice faded, the vi door creaked open.
Damon stood at the entrance, pale and shaking.
“You want to bury Niks? Why?”
Dani answered coolly,
“Niks found out I’m squeamish about blood, so we’ve got to shut him up. And now you know too. Go ahead, pick a nice spot in the backyard. I’ll grant your final wish personally.”
Damon looked so terrified he nearly crumpled on the spot.
“I was wondering what my dad wanted me to do. Turns out he figured out your weakness!” Damon’s nerves were unraveling.
“What do we do now?”
