?Chapter 1486:
“Dani,” Carol called out.
Hamilton fixed Dani with an unblinking stare as he muttered sharply, “You lost your memories, didn’t you? But even before that, Cedric was never your first choice. Wasn’t it Alexander you truly loved? That says it all—Cedric’s never really been the one for you. When you left for Oiscoll, you left him behind without a backward nce. Sure, you might mean the world to him, but for you? Cedric’s always just been one of many. You don’t need him, Dani. You’ve always been powerful on your own—totally self-sufficient. What could he possibly offer you? A littlefort at home? That’s it. But if Cedric bes someone else’s husband—someone with actual status—he could finally have the life he deserves. He could chase real ambition. Dani, let him go. Sign the agreement and set him free. Do it for both of you—it’s the only choice that makes sense.”
As his words settled, Dani stared down at the divorce agreement before her.
While Hamilton continued speaking, he stole a nce at the phone resting on the table, making sure it was recording.
A sly grin crept across his face.
As long as Dani agreed to sign the divorce agreement now, it wouldn’t matter if she regretted itter. Hamilton could simply y the recording for Cedric.
He knew how fragile young couples could be when it came to trust.
Even the smallest issue could open a crack. That crack would widen until it became a wedge—something painful that neither could ignore.
Eventually, it would blow up.
That kind of chaos was exactly what Hamilton hoped for.
“Dani, just sign it. Once you do, everything will be perfectly handled.”
Silence filled the room.
???????????????? ???????? ????????????????.??????
Hamilton watched, eyebrows lifting slowly, as Dani reached for the pen. She took it.
Right in front of Hamilton, Dani scribbled across the signature box. Big and bold, the word read—“Fuck off.”
Hamilton froze. He just sat there, pletely stunned.
Carol burst intoughter, doubling over and clutching her stomach.
“Do you even know who you’re trying to y? That’s the richest woman alive! And you thought you could outsmart her? Seriously?”
Dani’s expression turned cold as she flicked the pen aside.
“What do you mean by that?” Hamilton barked.
Dani didn’t flinch. Her face was calm, her tone sharp.
“Should I be thanking you? You’ve reminded me how popr Cedric is. Even a princess is interested in him. Sounds to me like I’ve made a good pick. So tell me, why on earth would I divorce him? We’re legally married. You think some foreign princess is going to snatch him from me?”
Hamilton’s jaw tensed.
“You were the one who filed for divorce before you came to Oiscoll! You even said you’d walk away with nothing. Don’t forget—if Cedric uses that agreement, you’re the one left empty-handed. You won’t get a cent.”
Dani smiled.
