Chapter 1202

    ?Chapter 1202:

    She wouldn’t budge on this.

    Cedric’s brows pulled together.

Dani’s voice dropped a little lower. She looked straight at him and said, “Cedric, if you act on your own, I will leave you.”

With that, she lowered her head and kept working on herptop. Cedric stayed beside her in silence for a long time, but she never once nced at him.

She hoped he would take the time to think things through on his own. After a while, he stood up. His voice came out soft, with a trace of pain in it. “I understand.”

He stayed rooted in ce after saying that.

Only after some time did he finally walk away.

Right before leaving, he said quietly, “You’ve never seen me as someone who truly belongs in your world.”

Dani kept typing without pause, her focus unbroken.

Carol walked in from outside and nced behind her as she changed her shoes. “Dani, what’s going on with Cedric? Is he upset or something?”

Dani didn’t stop working. She kept scanning the data.

Carol sat down. “Did you hear me? He’s outside by himself, sitting in the pavilion. I tried to talk to him, but he looked really off.”

Dani replied, “Let him sort it out on his own.”

Carol gave a nod. “By the way, we found Natalie.”

Dani’s hands paused over the keyboard.

“She’s trying to get her hands on explosives. I guess she’s nning to blow you up like the previous bombing incident. What do you think we should do?”

Dani’s tone stayed calm. “Assign someone to monitor her. Any word on Winslow?”

She believed that Caiden, Joyce, and Natalie were just cover.

    The real danger was Winslow.

He knew who M really was.

Niks and Kohen had spent a long time searching, but the handwriting’s source still escaped them.

When they stepped inside, they spotted Cedric sitting in the pavilion.

Kohen turned to Niks. “Why don’t we go talk to him? He’s an adult. He shouldn’t just follow everything Dani says. If we give him the right offer, he might reconsider.”

Niks responded, “But if we try anything and Dad finds out, it’ll backfire. How much we getter depends on his mood. If he’s upset, even getting rid of Cedric won’t help us. We might end up empty-handed.”

Kohen retorted, “Unlike you, I’ve got three kids to raise, Niks. If I don’t fight for a bigger share, they’ll suffer for itter.”

Niks pulled out a cigarette. “Cedric’s not as mild as he looks. He’s got a short fuse.”

Kohen shook his head. “He seems kind enough around Dani. We’re offering money and a friendly conversation. What reason does he have to refuse?”

Niks took a slow drag. “Put yourself in his shoes. Would you take the deal? Our father is the richest man in the world. What could we offer thatpares? A million? Ten? It’s still nothingpared to what he stands to gain.”
