?Chapter 1763:
Nearby, the other actors stood with their heads bowed, silent and intimidated. Even Tiffany’s typically arrogant rivalcked the courage to speak up.
Kylee had been broadcasting her public persona as a friendly young woman, yet on set, she was untouchable. Her strong reputation was well-known across the industry. Those who worked with her rarely dared to cross her.
As Tiffany approached, those who disliked her couldn’t hide their smug smiles, while others disyed various expressions.
Off to the side, the director, Rowe Vance, appeared troubled, still attempting to soothe Kylee.
“Kylee, your presence today graces our modest set…”
Kylee’s lips curled, her gaze icy.
“Is your clout so limited that you couldn’t persuade Tiffany to join us sooner?”
At Kylee’s arrogance, Elva nearly lunged at her, but Harlee held her back.
“Wait, let’s see how Tiffany handles this.”
“What do you want from me?” Tiffany asked.
Tiffany’s arrival instantly captured everyone’s attention. Rowe’s face lit up with relief, his excitement evident.
“Tiffany,” Kylee said, her eyes brightening and her voice softening. “You’ve arrived atst. I’ve been waiting. I heard you’ve been bullied here? Just tell me who it is, and I’ll defend you!”
“Eww…” Elva was sickened. “Your less-than-ster acting skills hardly convinced me of your sincerity.”
Kylee’s face darkened.
“Tiffany, this person is part of the crew, isn’t she? Is she the one harassing you? Just say the word, and I’ll protect you.”
?????????? ???????? ???? ????????ν????????????
Elva shot Kylee a furious look, biting back curses. Kylee twisted facts with such ease. Did she not fear the consequences of her own lies?
Elva reluctantly acknowledged she had to hold back now. Harlee had insisted that Tiffany needed to navigate these showbiz challenges on her own. If Tiffany faltered, then they could intervene.
Tiffany turned to Rowe, her smile reassuring.
“Mr. Vance, please proceed with the next scene. I’ll take care of things here. Don’t worry, this won’t hold up the crew.”
Rowe nodded. With Clint supporting Tiffany, it was unlikely Kylee would dare escte things. Plus, this dispute was between the two women, and as the director, he couldn’t afford to upset either party. Hepressed his lips, smiled appreciatively at Tiffany, and led the remaining actors away. The crew couldn’t afford any dys in their work.
The moment they left, Kylee’s expression shifted. She became visibly arrogant, her eyes brimming with hatred.
“Tiffany, do you truly think Clint’s protection is enough to keep you safe?”
Tiffany let out a faint chuckle, herughter cold and devoid of joy.
“So, you’re here to disrupt my life?”
Tiffany had always been self-reliant. If pressed, she would admit the only person she relied on was Harlee.
Harlee caught Tiffany’s look and tilted her head yfully in response.
