Chapter 1759

    ?Chapter 1759:

Harlee eyed the firearm with disdain and walked toward him, taunting, “Really, a thirty-first-ranked killer with that kind of weapon? Pathetic!”

“Today marks your end!” Egan might have been ranked only thirty-first in the Underground Alliance, but he was still an assassin. No one had ever dared to humiliate him like this before.

Egan had reached his limit. Fueled by rage, he pulled the trigger, aiming straight for Harlee’s head.

    Harlee’s face remained impassive.

Elva turned to Tiffany, showing her how to cover her ears—an action she seemed well-practiced in.

As soon as Egan fired the bullet, Harlee effortlessly dodged it with a quick sidestep. She continued her approach, and just as he attempted another shot, she lunged forward, seized his head, and smashed it against the floor.

In one fluid motion, she forced the gun from Egan’s grasp.

Egan’s forehead throbbed with pain, blood streaming from the wound. He tried to resist but couldn’t match Harlee’s overwhelming strength. He turned pale and demanded, “Who the hell are you?”

Egan was petrified. This woman had boldly imed to be from Skyhawk and disyed remarkable skills. To which organization did she really belong? Before he could even attempt to fight back, he was already subdued. Damn it, how did Elva know this formidable woman? Wasn’t Elva just a harmlessb worker?

“You don’t deserve to know,” Harlee replied coolly, a smile ying on her lips.

She increased the pressure of her foot, and Egan, who had been able to struggle slightly before, now found himself immobilized. He was utterly defeated.

With that realization, Egan knew he was in serious trouble. Feeling both ashamed and humiliated, he resigned himself to his fate.

    “Kill me if you want!”

“I have no interest in killing you,” Harlee said nonchntly as she slowly lifted her foot, bent down, and picked up his handgun. Before Egan could react, she dismantled it expertly, and the pieces ttered to the floor around him.

Egan widened his eyes. What the hell? It had been barely a minute. How incredible was this woman?

Harlee pped her hands clean, her tone rxed and casual.

“Recite, word for word, what Miss Cavendish said when she hired you to kill Elva, and you can leave.”

Egan hesitated, disbelief etched on his face.

“I came here to kill Elva, and you’re just letting me go?”

“You didn’t actually harm her, and she even pped you twice to vent her anger. If I don’t let you go, what should I do—keep you here as a guest?” Harlee quipped, looking down at him with a chuckle at his bewildered expression. This assassin was quite the character. No wonder he was selected from fifty others for this mission.

Egan was at a loss for words. This woman was an anomaly, capable of driving a person mad without even touching them.

    Harlee narrowed her eyes.
